Really?  Check the title of the thread.  This is the first time that the MB has discussed Bridgewater with the 3rd pick?

 

This is a helluva lot more entertaining than discussing the same material ad infinitum.

TMD cried about Teddy being Luck/Manning/Elway/Aikman caliber prospect and now he's tap dancing backwards faster than Gregory Hines.


Poor guy just doesn't get embarrassed at himself. Even while we are all laughing at him.

And I'm not personally down on Teddy. He's still the first QB I'd select. But if you can get him on sale, you take advantage of that. Pretty basic concept, really. Well to most non-agenda pushers I suppose.

This clearly illustrates that TMD doesn't even think Teddy is a franchise QB.. He will continue to say he is just to save face, but it's clear as day.

 

He is now OK with Mack, Matthews, Manziel and Gilbert instead of the Aikman/Luck prospect that Teddy supposedly is.

 

This coming from a guy that had "Get the QB, the rest will take care of itself" as his signature.

Exactly. He's trying to slow walk away from earlier declarations that Bridgewater is a franchise QB who is plug and play ready to step into the starting role here. He ramped up his whining progressively with each win, acting as if the team was missing out on the greatest QB prospect since Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck, touting the brilliance of Houston in tanking for Teddy, extolling their collapse as something that should be commended and something the Jaguars should be aspiring toward.


Now he's saying nothing about his evaluation has changed as he's saying there are better picks for this team, and that we could trade back from 3 to whatever to get more value for the next great NFL QB.

Yes because being the 3rd pick in the draft is just whole universes away from the 1st selection. :wacko: The Jags managing 2 whole spots ahead of the 1st pick just totally validates Gus right now, lol.
