Quote:So only teams who draft QBs get better? You're going to be disappointed in this draft then.

If you want to make an impact, yes (or pick up a good one in FA).

Do you honestly believe if you go into the season with Henne as your starter you guys will be a playoff team/division winner?

You'll be the one disappointed, not me, if you believe the above.

Quote:Lol. Right. If Luck did get hurt, we would suffer this year. Correct (even though I thought he was just average, if he was just average we wouldn't suffer...). However, if your best draft pick is a defensive player and he doesn't injure Luck, Colts won't suffer. Sorry, need a QB in this league and Jags haven't shown the ability to draft a good one.

BTW, what bust are you going to draft this year? Best part of the draft... watching the Jags take someone knowing that it won't mean anything in the end Smile

EDIT: Also sad that your only hope is injuring Luck  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing

I know the estrogen that flows freely among colt fans tends to cause confusion, but I've never referred to Luck as average.  I think he's a good, not great QB.

If our draft pick is a defensive player who doesn't necessarily have to hurt Luck, but simply impact his ability to be effective, it would bring us closer to our goal.  If Houston and Tennessee improve their defensive fronts and become more effective in affecting Luck, things could change very quickly.  He's not Peyton Manning.  He's human, and can be rattled.

A twink fan running draft smack?  Your team hasn't exactly been the greatest drafting team in the history of the league.  We could certainly have a good laugh looking at all of the busts your team has drafted.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Look, clearly talking football to Jag fan can be rough but this isn't rocket science. IF YOU DON'T HAVE A QB YOU WILL NOT SUCCEED. I DON'T CARE WHO YOU DRAFT. You can laugh all you want about Colts draft picks, but whose winning? I think we are.

Look no further than Houston - they have the best defensive player in the league and no QB - who'd they do last year?

Back to the basement, dwellers.

while Foles had a good season what you actually see on the field in Luck is what you want in a QB. Stats can be misleading

i gotta agree with colt warrior here. I think we'll be improved but without a QB we won't go to far.

It's the truth. Some Jag fans have a hard time with that.

Yes, your defense might be improved by grabbing X player, but if you stick with an average/below average QB (Henne) you'll be in the same place you were last year. Last.

Talking football with a twink fan is much like talking about common sense with a teenage girl.  It's pointless.

The Jaguars will come out of this draft with a QB, and help in the pass rush.  I know you gals have struggles with thinking about more than one thing at a time, but right now the Jaguars have 11 picks in the draft, and there will be more than one player selected during the 3 days of the draft.

Twink fans get to look forward to watching that first pick in the draft go to Cleveland while they celebrate their stellar acquisition in helping to beef up their running game.  You talk about first round flops while ignoring the glaring hole your front office created by trading away a first round pick for a player who couldn't win the starting job for the twinks of all teams!

It's funny.  Any time I see a twink fan running smack, I think of Napoleon Dynamite and his brother taking Rex Kwan Do, only in argyle sweaters.

Even better, after seeing a few of the twink female fans who have come to games in Jacksonville, many resemble Mrs. Rex.

Am I really talking smack? Are your bones that brittle? Am I the mod that calls opposing fans "twinks"? Really, it's a bad look my friend.

Bottom line is that QB that you draft - better be a good one, otherwise it doesn't matter who you draft with the first round pick even if he is the best D player in the draft.

If that QB fails - you'll be in the same place you always seem to be - last.

I think with Henne and a real good defense we can finish 2nd or 3rd but I get what your saying.'

No, I don't expect us to get to the playoffs without a better QB. Its hard to be bated when you are realistic. I do expect us to be significantly better because we have a chance to add a difference maker because we didn't blow our first rounder on a bust RB.

Do you honestly believe you are going to do any better than scraping a wildcard win?

And let me be clear when I say with Henne I mean Henne absolutely has to cut down on the turnovers.. Say 20-15 TD-INT ratio would be an improved Henne. It's possible

Umm.. so because we got TRich as our first pick this year you think you are going to better? Oh wow. Boy are you in for a shocker.

Also, yes I feel like it's definitely possible. Multiple key pieces are coming back healthy on offense. I'm still a little worried about our defensive secondary, however. Much better than what Jags seem to be working with year in and year out...

give it a couple years maybe less and I think you'll be surprised how much better this team is.. I really like what Caldwell and Bradley are building. Granted ill keep my expectations realistic until it transfers to on the field and we find our QB.

Quote:Jags should have went after the 3rd best QB in the league in free agency this year - McCown.

Right, Tommy???
McCown is 30+. Foles hasn't even reached 25 and at the moment is a better QB than Luck.

It's really not that hard to understand.

You have reading comprehension problems or something. Either that or you have extremely brittle bones that you accuse FBT of having.  Mr. Sensible expects us to be significantly better this year, not significantly better than the Colts.  The world doesn't revolve around horse teams.  Denver lost the last super bowl after all.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

A twink fan complaining about the moderators?  That's rich.  How's Phil doing?  If he was a mod here, you would have gotten the boot 2400+ posts ago.

Thanks for stating the obvious.  Can you tell us how water is wet, or argyle sweaters made of wool are itchy too?

Where did the Jags finish in the division last year?  Oh, that's right.  Not last.  But hey, nobody accused you of being a division history scholar, right?  I know math class is hard for you gals.

Enjoy that first round pick of yours.

Words are confusing for you gals, huh?

His point wasn't that we were going to get better because you got a boat anchor for a running back in trade for your first pick in the draft.

His point was that we actually HAVE a first round pick in this draft, and that player should make this team better.

Does Oprah.com still have a message board where you gals usually huddle and talk about the latest movies on her network?  Or is that the message board on the Lifetime Movie Network site?  I forget where you colt fans go to huddle up.

I have no idea who Phil is. So not sure where you're going at there. And why would I banned? For having an opinion that doesn't go with the group? For being an opposing fan? What rule have I broken?

You're right the Jags didn't finish last year - it just feels like they do every year. Either way they're at bottom of the division, always. Also, knowing where a team finishes has nothing to do with math. You're a smart one. Obviously didn't have to pass an IQ test to become a mod.

We'll enjoy our 1st pick as we cruise to another division title.

He is/was a moderator on one of the twink message boards, and that's exactly what he would do.  Ban them if they didn't go along with group think of the collective.

Again, they weren't at the bottom of the division. But, you're a twink fan, so "feelings" matter.  We get it.  Oprah says it, so you must agree.

It has nothing to do with math?  Let's see.  Each game counts as a win or loss.  At the end of the season, the team with the most wins and fewest losses in the division wins that division.  Yeah, that's not math at all.  You twink fans are really sharp.

Cruise, or in twink fashion, sachet?  What's it like to be the only fan base in the NFL where the women are manly, and the men are not?  You gals okay with that?

Were you more upset with with your owner's fashion choices when he got arrested, or the fact that he was lugging around illegal drugs while under the influence?  I'm betting the fashion faux pas really bugged the dickens out of you, huh?

I don't understand why Colt fans get so upset that they aren't an elite team anymore.  Except for a few select members on this board, everyone knows you area  slightly above average team.  You are nowhere near the Manning days, and dont think you'll be there for a long while (and a competent GM that doesn't trade 1st rounders for scrub running backs.)

We are lowly Jaguar fans that know nothing about football.  Why do you care so much?
