I know it's brought up for kelvin a lot since he will be 23 this year but I didn't know norwood was turning 25 this season! Still would love him
in a jags uniform though We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Well that does it. He's maxed out. WR purgatory.

No, it's important and I just realized that myself a few days ago and it made me sad because I do love his game. I was a big proponent of taking him in the 3rd round but now I wouldn't until day 3.

Quote:Alabama players are overrated. I doubt one goes in the 1st or 2nd round. CJ Mosley will go in the first 2 rounds. As far as Norwood'd age, Shorts turned 24 during his Rookie season and 25 during his first season of actually doing anything in 2012 so it's probably not a huge deal.
Quote:Alabama players are overrated. I doubt one goes in the 1st or 2nd round. i think defensive players on a team with no proven RB starter and a less than mediocre Offense are overrated but hey the ravens did it with Defense. I will say though they had a much better offence than we do.
Season Tix, Section 409
2023 and still counting.....SB will finally be ours soon enough. TLaw aka 'the prince that was promised' supporter.
Ernest Wilford was 25 when his rookie year started and he did ok, didn't he? Rod Smith was a 25-year-old rookie. Jimmy Smith was, IIRC, 26 when Coughlin gave him a chance. Having some age on you isn't the end of the world. I wouldn't draft a 26-year-old receiver in round one (I wouldn't draft a 26-year-old anything in round one), but you can find some quality depth later on if you take a guy who's pretty polished, but falling because of his age.
I kind of think that a 24-year-old running back might be the greatest steal in the draft. Considering that running backs are often considered "old" by 26 or 27, depending upon how old they were when they entered the league, spending a mid-round pick on a guy who plays a devalued position and is further devalued by his advanced age could yield a great return. Realistically, if the guy is 24 as a rookie and he's any good, you can milk four good years out of him, then let him walk rather than hand a big contract to a 28-year-old running back and do it all again. Not a big deal. He's a mid round pick.
I'd take him with one of our fourths.

Quote:Haha and Mosley goes round 1 Where they are drafted really doesn't matter. The recent track record of Alabama players in the league isn't great. Dareus Fluker Warmack Jones Hightower Lacey Milliner started to come on late last season Barron Carpenter Andre Smith Even Dre Kirpatrick started to show some signs last season.
