Sports Illustrated's number one player in the draft? Teddy Bridgewater...oh?

#61

I don't agree with this article. #1 player, no way. As much as I have been putting down Clowney, he is the #1 player in the draft. However, he's not my #1 player. I like Bridgewater. However, I don't see him as the #1 player or #1 QB.

Dude you are the only one throwin childish insults and arguing like a 3 yr old. Making claims about someones fanhood, their home life, their intelligence and their personal habits without ever having met or seen him other than a use created avatar on a computer screen. You called someone on something and they responded in their own defense with other prospects they would like and have endorsed . You did post lazily hoping a easy cheapshot would catch and it didnt.  Deal with it.

Quote:I can't argue with what you state you meant by your post. But there were very real undertones that implied that SI's opinion piece was a farce designed to be a puff piece for reads.

I'm not saying they are right, but that's exactly what I'm talking about that fires up the two sides to incessancy.

You got all of that from a dozen or so words?

SI has planted their flag.  They're not aligned with the majority who have rated the players and said Clowney is the best player in the draft.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

When they run out of arguments, they resort to insults, while attacking someone's personal life. I find it funny that a member can tell another member to get a life, when they're both on the message board all the time.

Agreed.  I think there's pretty much a consensus on Clowney as far as him being the best player in the draft (although even that is not an absolute).  SI is trying to show their independence, and that's fine.

He may very well be the top QB in the draft.  That still doesn't mean he'll be the first QB selected.

This draft is really difficult to figure out because it's deep for talent, but the top tier talent is not as expansive.

That last sentence is what people will have to remember after next weekend.

I love how these articles and links keep getting posted as some sort of validation. Everything is just opinions at this point.

Hell. I don't care who they take as long as he turns into somebody worthy of the 3rd pick...and it doesn't even have to be this year.

But using these stories as some sort of validation is just goofy.

Especially for certain posters who crave validation desperately.

Quote:This is nothing compared to how it was during the fall. This board was almost unreadable then.

It was worst when the Jaguars were winning and so many on this board were soiling themselves about how we're going to miss out on Teddy. How McNair was paying Kubiak to lose to get Teddy.

And it was all driven pretty much by one poster.

Just paving the way for your annual "I'm the smartest guy on the board" back patting event.

Call it a talent.

SI has more flags than a Raiders game. Tomorrow another writer will post Clowney as the top player. Next week it'll be Mack.

Which is pretty much my point.  People latch on to things like this as if it's gospel, especially if they've been out there for almost a year telling the world that the team screwed up by winning games and taking themselves out of Bridgewater contention. How many times did we have to read how we would regret winning meaningless games because it would cost us the next Luck or Manning?

Not this year.  He appears to have retired.

Still waiting for the TMD "rec" board 2014.

He's running for the hills on this one, apparently.  Ducking and running.
