Jameis reportedly arrested for shoplifting crablegs

#61

Quote:Shoplifting isn't normal.  Young teenage kids making dumb decisions isn't uncommon and he stole what I would assume is a minimal amount of product.  This isn't grand theft auto.

My point was his decision making is going to come under scrutiny.  This isn't your average kid.  This is a freshman, National Champion, Heisman Trophy winner that has legitimate chances at repeating that feat next season.  This is a kid that has potential to be the number one overall draft pick when the time comes.  He can't put himself in these situations.  Period.  Shoplifting raises questions and NFL scouts will ask him plenty about his encounters with law enforcement.

I see now he isn't a teenager, he's 20, same difference.

Now that I actually read an article...the article I read says he was cited.  Not arrested.  Which makes a lot more sense.

A Notice to Appear is equivalent to an arrest in Florida...just without being booked.

FSU should be banned from the upcoming 2014 season, and Jameis should be banned from the NCAA.

Jameis Winston allegedly arrested for stealing crab legs. FSU has officially announced it will begin it's investigation following the conclusion of the 2014 football season.

It's my understanding he was issued a misdemeanor citation.  Which means he will be fined.  He wasn't arrested.  If he meets the requirements of the citation it won't even show up on his record from what I read.

I see now he was fined $30, given some community service time and will be suspended from the baseball team according to tomahawknation.com's article.

Sounds like a fair punishment to me.

*EDIT* took out a few sentences.

It's basically a first time offender pretrial intervention kind of thing it sounds like.

Well, I did hear that this happened right after the NCAA made it official that student athletes get unlimited meals.

Maybe Jameis thought Publix was on board with the meal plan.

He has one of TMD's quote as his sig.

He is trying, but he has many more years and posts to put in work.

Whether someone has a liberal, or conservative viewpoint, a authoritative figure should not lock a thread for the sole purpose to get the last word in all the while prohibiting someone else from being able to respond.

That's the difference between the amateurs such as Tommy and the naturally gifted such as myself.
