Final Head/Heart/Gut Before the Draft
|
Head: Watkins
Heart: a)Clowney, b)Mack, c)trade down, d)Watkins, e)Matthews Gut: My gut tells me Watkins is a waste when we haven't finished our offensive line and don't have our future QB, so Dave will be methodical and draft Matthews. No wait. I think that was my head talking. I don't know. I'm totally confused. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:Last one before the big day. Let's do it shall we?Head: Jake Matthews or trade down (he's the safest bet 10 year healthy starting Tackle) Heart: Trade up for Clowney (I want to see the Jaguars be dominant again in Defense) Gut: Sammy Watkins Quote:Reminds me of a quote from High Fidelity, one of my favorite movies: Yep! Head - Mack Caldwell has described scenarios in the past where teams may be less likely to move up in a draft for a player at a specific position if the position is considered 'deep'. He then stated that OT and WR are deep for this class. This tells me that while he sees value in a Matthews or a Robinson or even Watkins, he knows that while he may not get the same value later, he can get a good player later at that position. This leads me to believe that he takes the best player at the shallowest position that provides the best impact. That's Mack. Also, I just don't see Jeff Fisher letting Watkins go past him. Heart - Watkins... no! Mack! ... no wait! Watkins! ... Mack! ... Both?! Mack can limit the playing time and by extension increase the performance of the Sam 'backer and the LEO. That means Dekoda Watson, Chris Claiborne, Jason Babin, Andre Branch, and some other people that I'm probably missing. That's a lot of impact by one guy. As for Watkins, he takes the top off of the Defense. Not many guys do that and it would be a lot of fun to have one of those on the roster instead of trying to defend against them. The man scores points and there aren't a lot of people on the team that do that. Gut - Trade down Gus takes a package, trades down a bit and gets a 'not quite as good' pass rusher in Barr, or a Mike Evans. Just seems like he is looking to move back.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!
Head: Trade Back (most likely with ATL if Robinson/Mack still on board)
Heart: Trade Back (with Dallas and get 1 and 2 along with next year 1st minimum)...Take Barr/Dennard/Lewan/Martin @ 16. Gut: Mack/Watkins We show less advertisements to registered users. Is there some other market mechanism to determine the relative worth of opinions? Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
Quote:Your opinion is worth just as much as mine buddy. Nada. Sooner you realize that the better.Oh yeah, I'm with you there. But I meant literally. We had no offense last season. That may be why, IYO, we'd lean toward drafting Watkins
You Gotta Be Able To Run Da' Rock~
Head: Mack
Heart: Manziel/ Bridgewater Gut: Watkins Would be happy with any of those guys All add one Wish: Clowney
<B><FONT color=cyan>Jags this is your year</FONT></B>
Head: Mack
Heart: Bridgewater Gut: Trade Down The Manziel talk is ramping up recently and I think two of Dallas, Oakland, Minnesota, and Cleveland want him. I just feel we're going to get multiple inquiries and trade down. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Head: Trade Back
Heart: Trade Back, and take a Quarterback Gut: Khalil Mack They all rhyme, isn't that whack?
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.
Tade down all depends on which player is there at #3. If Clowney and Watkins are both gone, is there a player any team wants to trade up for? I don't think so. I don't even know if someone wants to trade up for Watkins. It's basically just Clowney.
Maybe the Browns really want Manziel and they think we might take him. They offer #4 and #26 for #3. We take Mack at #4 and then Teddy at #26? I would love that. Then take BA WR (Robinson, Benjamin, Matthews or Lee) Quote:Head: Trade Back The first three did all rhyme! Then you ruined it with your last line.

Quote: Changed my opinion. Head: Trade down Heart: Manziel Gut: Donald (probably after a trade down) "Why should I give information to you when all you want to do is find something wrong with it?"
