I heard that, and what really makes this amazing is the fact that he plans to learn as much as he can about the team that's been in the same market he's worked in as a sports broadcaster for his entire career.  It's not like he just stumbled into town.  He's been here for the ENTIRE life of the franchise, and he's just now decided it's time to learn as much as he can about the Jaguars?  Seriously?  This is the voice of the Jaguars?

Well, actually, Sirius has had every radio broadcast of every game for quite a few years now.  Plus, nfl.com had a package that could be purchased to hear all of the radio broadcasts.    

 

 

I do have sirius....but am usually in the bar for the Sunday Jags games.

 

In any event, I've listened to enough of Brian Sexton to know that I can't stand his voice or his PBP "skills".

Pathetic is a little harsh but yes, down grade from Sexton who I wasn't a fan of. Sexton you just didn't know what was going on. He would go crazy on a play and then go, oh he dropped it or oh, 3 yard gain. That drove me nuts.

I'm not sure if you got the joke.  One season, CBS had Solomon's "Keys To Victory" segment actually called "The Wisdom Of Solomon".  Man, did I get a good laugh out of that the first time I saw it.

Man, you nailed  it right there, he falls in love with his own sentences and repeats them, and he edits himself while he talks by starting and stopping and restarting.   But all that is okay, to me, it's just the fact that he's a Steeler fan.  What in the world moved the Jaguars to hire an avowed Steeler fan to do the Jaguars' play by play?   The guy has been here all through the existence of the Jaguars, and has refused to give up his allegiance to the Steelers.   I wonder if the Jaguars were even aware of this.  It's ridiculous.   Can we not find a Jaguar fan to do the Jaguar games?

I don't even care that he is a Steelers fan. So was Vic Ketchman, but Vic was great at his job. Frank has worked in this venue for years, and by his own admission knows very little about this team. That tells me that he's bad at his job. Listening to him confirms that he is indeed very bad at his job. His knowledge, preparation, and ability is why I despise this all. His allegiance has almost nothing to do with it for me.
