Quote:I called it. There was zero mention of Bortles by the Jag staff in the lead-up. Except for that whole "Bortles took over the room" article.

He is definitely sitting for a year
I can see it working I can see it failing but Caldwell had to hit on his QB this year
The Jags want a QB who makes plays from the pocket. Bortles has all the tools. The size, arm, good mobility, etc. Yes, he's Blaine Gabbert II in some ways. But you don't reject prototype QBs because a previous prototype QB didn't pan out.

They must have loved him, passed up the chance of a 1st rounder next year for him.
Quote:Browns traded back, we couldve traded back witt the Bills and still got Brotles And it begins. You got next weeks lottery numbers as well as access to every teams draft board? Quote:Just to be different, Bortles.
I like the pick. Thankfully, Dave did not get caught up in the Johhny hype like some on this board. Who was the poster that guaranteed a Manziel pick @ 3? Heh...
Dave saw something he liked in Blake. I trust him. Now the real fun begins (seeing how far Manziel falls)

Wow big trade up for Watkins, would you of taken that if you was Jags. Would Bortles not of been there at #9?

Man...
They did their homework and were comfortable with the pick for two weeks so hopefully they know what they're doing. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

"Blake Bortles feels he made a great connection with the Browns during the predraft process and wouldn't be surprised if they take him at No. 4 tonight." - Mary Kay Cabot, Cleveland Plain-Dealer
I feel Bortles was highly rated and would have been gone by 9 if we didn't take him anyway.
Browns get the Bills first next year, which will be a top ten pick, you can book that, and we passed, dumb dumb dumb, we still would have gotten Bortles
