http://www.nepatriotsdraft.com/2012/11/h...draft.html -- interesting article involving Marqise Lee, about how he could have impacted the 2013 draft had he been eligible for it along with Clowney. Obviously this was before his less-than-stellar year last season, but it puts into context how high people were on him just a season ago.

The most impressive thing to me watching the video is his ability to do a stop cut and accelerate to full speed in half a second, it's crazy. The defender is still mid fall when he's already around them.

He played all year on a bum knee and trash QB play. Look what he did healthy with Barkley last year.

Great pick by the Jaguars.  Lee is a prototypical NFL WR.  If he is able to remain injury free, he will be a better WR than CS III.

Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency.

1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

Learn from the great collapse of 2023.

The Bradwell conference on Lee was hilarious. We're going to sit Lee for a year. We would've taken Lee over Clowney Laughing

Quote:watch the video around 50 seconds.  Slow guys don't run like that down the sideline while breaking ankles

The move at 2:45 was beautiful.

Same, but getting Robinson (even though we had to trade up to get him) lessens that blow a bit.

If were going to have a 12 page thread on a new draftee, at least spell his name right.....

OMG, that guy just reminded me if we're gunna take one more WR i hope it's Abberdais. He made some of the best corners he played against look garbage.

Edit: reading his scouting report on NFL.com I don't know if he'd be worth taking with anything other than a 7th, he's  got a really bad injury history.

Caldwell tried to trade up for him

http://espn.go.com/nfl/draft2014/story/_...cond-round

"Caldwell failed in his bid to trade up to the top pick in the second round (33rd overall) so he had to wait out the Jaguars' turn at 39 before they could grab Lee to help improve one of the league's worst offenses."

He wanted him just as bad as I did, I love it

I'm glad we didn't have to give up any picks to take him then, We probably used the pick we were trying to get lee with in our trade up for Robinson

Hey, first time posting on here. I'm an SC graduate and have been following Marqise' career since his high school days where he played with Robert Woods until now. Lee is an unreal athlete and is absolutely one of the most explosive athletes when healthy. This past season, I know he was playing injured for most of the season with a knee injury and didn't fully heal until recently in the offseason. Also, our quarterback play and our oline was pretty bad which is why his stats dipped so far from his sophomore to junior season.

I talked to him a month or so ago and he said he's feeling great and ready to go out there and contribute right away. To those questioning his abilities, this is an absolute steal at the 2nd round and he will make noise right away with Bortles. No character issues at all. He's very, very competitive and he shows his emotions on the field which is why some idiots believe he has a temper, when in fact he doesn't.

Here's a clip from a spring workout about 2 years ago that displays some of his athleticism. He makes some pretty amazing catches, but this past season, he did drop some easy throws which can easily be fixed in my opinion.

I loved the highlight video.  He does seem a little small, but apart from that he does come off as a superior athlete.  If he has the presence of mind to duck the big hitters he could definitely be an impact player.  Very exciting to watch.  I like the pick.

The injury could actually be a good thing.  Seems relatively minor, but significant enough that the player will avoid such things in the future.  At 6', he better.

I'm just glad to have something to look forward to other than Cyp knocking somebody silly.  Lee has big play ability for sure.
