[BAD WORD REMOVED]**OFFICIAL NFL draft day thread Day 3***

Quote:If we go Dline, who gets pushed off the roster?
We wont know that until camp, if the rookie out plays them then the vet will be gone, but a 5th rounder could just go on the PS if he isnt ready

Quote:Many of us called the Linder pick a reach predicated by a run on the position group actually.

The Colvin  thing is clearly a case of his stock falling due to injury and Caldwell willing to wait it out. Certainly worth questioning.

Agree.  There's also the concussion worry about Colvin.  He shouldn't act as if the picks haven't been without criticism.  Heck, there was enough of that Thurs nite.

How does "4-12" answer the question about how a scouting department is immature?

Desir to Cleveland, TMD will blow a gasket. Solid pick mid-four, though.

I had him as the best UCF player in this draft.

That's what you guys want with our only 4th round pick with all the needs we have?  Okay.... I give up...

Not above Mettenberger, McCarron or Murray... but after his awesome Pro Day, somebody should take a chance on him now in the 6th or 7th.

You left out the sentence before.

I have you as the third-best troll on this board, and I've been told that was a reach.

Boston to CAR? Two guys in a row that I liked.

You don't realize it's possible he feels the player Colvin will be is going to be better next year than anyone we could have picked (like McGill) this year?

What would you be saying if McGill turns out to be a C+, B player in 2015 even after a year under his belt, and Colvin is looking B+, A as a rookie after sitting a year?

That's his gamble.  Yes, gamble.

So you'd rather have a 4th round guy who might start in 2014 because of it being a weak roster, over a guy with 2nd round talent who might not start in 2014 due to injury, but can be taken in the 4th?

Okay.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Our scouts have produced the talent for that mark.
