Let's see, failed drug tests, accused of "rape", been arrested... and we see what happened with Blackmon.  I realize it would be the 6th round, not the 1st or 2nd, but I don't think they touch him.  I highly doubt they take any QB.  They don't want ANY chance that somebody looks better than Bortles in camp.

Maybe  Mettenberger to New Orleans here soon as I just mentioned.

Also...

Looks like they wanted to take advantage of the senior bowl prospects they liked imo.

Bro does he even lift?

Kenny Ladler is next up for us IMO.

FS - 6'0", 207lbs, 24 bench press reps, played on our team and Senoir bowl, etc, etc, etc,

Hope he is still there when we pick in the 6th round.

Well someone had to replace Greg Jones.

Sometimes, the value overrides. In the 6th round for a team that still hasn't found their QB yet (Bortles hasn't played an NFL snap).....Snagging a talent like Mettenberger this late as an insurance policy might not be a bad gig for the Jags. Plus, its clear that Caldwell prefers that mold of QB (Physically).

Oh, without question....or simply make him into a worthwhile QB for them.

He may be falling due to his involvement or uninvolvement in a bar fight back in April.

The awesome thing for this Jags draft is, unlike past Jags drafts, I don't see any "throw away" picks so far. Every single pick they made I could envision becoming a starting/ impact player, provided they stay healthy.

Last year was similar. They went for starters all the way through.

I do think they like to have a chancer pick each year. Last year it was Robinson, this year I'd see it was Colvin.

Similar maybe in concept, not execution. The talent level of the players we are getting in this draft in almost every round trumps that from last years.
