This movie is a classic.  Obviously a movie that was a bit ahead of its time. 

 

What did the older posters think about this movie when it came out?

 

Personally, this movie is the main reason why I am still hesitant to go into a ocean. 

 

It is still give me the heebie geebies when I watch it.

Great movie! What should give you pause about getting in the ocean is things like the 14 ft tiger shark caught in the river mouth at the north end of Hougenot park. Ft George inlet? It was on the river side. We are definitely not at the top of the food chain when we venture into the ocean. :woot:

 

However, if sharks actually intended to eat us, there would be a whole lot less of us around.

I stopped going into the ocean after I took a ride in a friends plane along the beach. When you see what's out there swimming just a little ways away from the swimmers...it will scare the hell out of you!!!!

I think I've watched it 4 or 5 times over last week and a half or so. AMC gets on kicks of running the same movies, or series of movies for about a month or so. I'm not complaining. Jaws right now, Rocky about a month back,.
