I also like how he criticizes us for moving up for Robinson saying that Blackmon will be coming back.  I guess he is more in the loop than our own GM is because no one knows if Blackmon will wear teal again, and even if he does, no one knows how effective he will be.

The guy who runs the site is a smart guy businesswise. He was still in school when he figured out how to get his site to be among the first sites listed when you Googled anything related to the NFL Draft.

 

The site is "Geocities" quality and the wriitng is awful. But he gets a ton of traffic from suckers.

The Jaguars moved down from No. 6 to No. 2, and acquired a second-round choice, plus first-round picks in 2016 and 2017 in the process. I doubt David Caldwell would be that savvy in real life, but it's the same package the Rams received for Robert Griffin.


Jacksonville was linked to Jake Matthews throughout the draft process. Perhaps Caldwell will take another A&M tackle. We know that he values the right tackle position, so it's definitely a possibility.

He also had Buffalo drafting top 5, despite not having a first round pick next year. I see he changed it due to a poster calling him out.

 

On a side note, heres his breakdown of Bortles BEFORE being drafted to the Jags, sounds like if it was anyone else taking him the pick would have been worshiped

Bortles also needs to become more uniform and could stand to improve his throwing mechanics. That would improve his accuracy and ball placement. 

Sources also tell WalterFootball.com that while Bortles is intelligent, but he is going to need development in the NFL. Bortles has the best skill set of the quarterbacks, but isn't as NFL-ready as Teddy Bridgewater or Johnny Manziel. Bortles' stock has consistently risen in the lead up to the 2014 NFL Draft, so don't be surprised if he is still the consensus No. 1 quarterback come draft day. Bortles is a project, but he has the most upside. League contacts tell WalterFootball.com that none of the quarterbacks are grading out as a true No. 1, so don't be surprised if the Texans channel 2006 and take Jadeveon Clowney.

BTW, as of April 16 he had Vikings trading up to #3 to take Bortles and April 9 he had Bortles going #1 to Houston.

The guy is clueless.  I've said before, the only redeeming quality is that he updates his site much more often than anyone else.  But thats not enough to make me check it out.  He should spend less time updating his mock drafts and more time studying the teams/players.

 

When I first checked out his site, he wrote something wrong about the team.  At the time I didnt realize what he was about so I was just writing him a note to help him out.  And he wrote me back pretty quickly with some snarky response.  We had a back and forth over email for awhile and eventually told him off.  The guy is clueless.

Went on today, looking at a bunch of different sites for thoughts on the draft and where it graded. Dont know why but Walter football was one of my stops (I always leave there [BAD WORD REMOVED]). Last year our draft was trashed by him for not reaching for Geno Smith at 2, something like "The Jags are content with a garbage qb, and not doing anything about it", as well as refusing to bring in Tebow (whom I hear they are big fans of on there). So this year its "Reaching for Bortles at 3, when they couldve waited and got a better qb like Manziel"

 

... and I noticed that was the only comment that you posted.  Actually, WalterFootball.com had a lot of good things to say about our draft.  They just like Manziel over Bortles -- no biggie.   They didn't treat the Jags any different from other teams.  Just look at the Patriots 2nd round comment -- they called it a Matt Millen GM move.   Also, look a the Cleveland critique of pick #9.

I think people are a little too hard on Walterfootball.  Yeah, it's a pretty garbage site.  The guy is biased as all get out.  He wouldn't know how to grade a draft pick if you transformed him into Mel Kiper Jr.  

 

But honestly... it's not as bad as Skip Bayless, and ESPN employs him.  I get the feeling Walter Cherepinsky just looks up what everybody else is saying, and rewords it to make it sound like he said it.  I have no idea how he can claim that he has any sources in the NFL, or that NFL teams use him (well, I guess I wouldn't be surprised if Cleveland uses him).  Still, he's not Skip Bayless at least.  

 

He seems to automatically assume Caldwell is Gene Smith 2.0.  Just like some decided to assume Bortles is Gabbert 2.0 for no other reason but it's the Jaguars.  You could probably do the same thing with Brady Quinn and Johnny Manziel.

I don't see the point of grading a draft one week later, nor do I care what somebody would grade for my team since it means nothing... but if that is what you want, the majority of fans/media are saying we nailed it.
