What Scares Me About Teddy

#41

Quote:Okay. I replaced it with an actual ESPN.com clip. I meant to hyperlink to the timestamp in the youtube video but this forum wants to embed videos now.

Not trying to berate you for posting that specific video, more just a rant about how terrible highlight films often are in general.

I know. I just replied to you because I had already edited the link by the time you quoted me so I didn't want anyone to be confused.

I can't find the video where he talks about what he did to put on weight but it was some preseason media interview. Either way if you actually look at him now it's pretty obvious;

196 Weight;

Sites like ESPN haven't updated it since his Freshmen weigh in and likely won't until the combine if even then.

Just wondering, does the level of competition thing worry anyone?

It doesn't really bother me much because he seems to have everything you want in a QB, but will be be overwhelmed when he gets to the NFL because of the competition he plays against now?

This is a forum filled with SEC nutjobs. Of course it worries some people here. They have no idea how to evaluate quarterbacks.

I don't think Teddy has been overwhelmed a day in his life. He has never looked anything but calm and poised in the pocket. And he has played against some tough defenses.

This is literally the first time I have ever heard of anyone questioning Bridgewater's arm strength. This forum is hilarious. He has an absolute CANNON. He threw that 50 yard pass, almost overthrew the receiver, and he was SHORT ARMING the pass.

I reserve "cannon" for guys like Cutler, Newton, Jeff George, etc. Teddy is not in that upper echelon of NFL arm strength, but it's certainly very good and not worth questioning in the slightest.

Horribly Wrong You are.

Also a cannon arm doesn't make you a successful QB. Jamarcus Russell will tell you that.

Lawlerpops dude!

Because he was the best quarterback in the draft and we had the worst QB situation in the NFL. Geno could very easily end up being a good NFL quarterback still.

Good track record of what? Geno was, and is, the best QB in that draft class. Basically everyone on the planet had him going in the first round and the first QB off the boards.

lol dude you were willing to use the #2 pick on a second round qb.  with that in mind you shouldnt be allowed to bash people regarding evaluation of qbs.

Because that has to do with team need and positional value. Do you honestly think we would have won less games if we had Geno than we will with Luke Joeckel this year?

Using this logic, in hindsight, Drew Brees was not worth the second overall pick in 2001.
