you guys think chip kelly's offense gives nick foles the ability to make his reads and make the throws with a very low percent of turnovers? idk how you would arrive at that conclusion. its the player, not plays. gabbert isnt performing in that offense. vick was mediocre. foles was very good at arizona and he only got better.

chip kellys first year in the NFL. maybe it has nothing to do with chip kelly? maybe foles and company are just that good? how do you decide what is the reason? there is no track record of kellys success in the nfl.

Well, it's pretty accepted the Kelly is an offensive guru. I am on your side (check my post history) regarding Foles being legit, but I think he is legit in terms of being a very good starting QB. I think being a very good starting QB + Kelly's Offensice guruness = elite production.

Vick didn't struggle. He got hurt. He was fine in the limited action he saw. Barkley struggled with the sore shoulder all year.

I remember in one of Foles first games as starting QB in Kelly's offense, he had one of the least effective performances I could ever remember. It was vs Dallas last year (the first Dallas game) look it up if you don't believe me. 

 

I don't necessarily think Foles is "terrible"....he's just nowhere near as good as some of you goons think he is. He's a "decent" QB that plays in a system that inflates offensive numbers. 

 

Sure, I might rip on him saying he sucks and all, but I just don't like him. He's not Gabbert bad or anything. But the people are on crack if they think he's some sort of "elite" QB. He's not even close.

TMD, I don't think anyone is calling Foles elite. I think he is solidly in the 10-15 range. I'd rather have Foles as my QB than over half the starting QBs in the NFL.

2. Foles only had two bad games the entire season. He was terribly vs. Dallas, but he wasn't even the worst Eagles QB that day. Matt Barkley was 11 for 20 with 0 TDs, 3 INTs, and a 35.2 QB rating. Your boy Kirk Cousins played 5 games last year and two of those games he had a lower QB rating than Foles did vs Dallas.

 

Nick Foles has one terrible game in his first year as a starter and you cling to that as if Foles isn't a good QB.

In what world is Nick Foles a statue? He had 221 rushing yards in 11 regular season starts last season. He is far from a dual threat QB, but he isn't a statue. Regardless being able to make pre-snap reads, quick decisions, and throwing with accuracy are much more important in a zone-read offense than being a running QB.
