Jaguars OTAs news and notes

Quote:Relax poncho. I'm not trying to get him outta town unless a distinct opportunity became available. The problem with you is you're constantly cooking up (pun intended) trade scenarios for players who this team would be better served to retain. To think Miami would consider a 1:1 trade for Jordan is laughable. Not every idea you float is good, TMD. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Quote:The problem with you is you're constantly cooking up (pun intended) trade scenarios for players who this team would be better served to retain. I don't think it is that "laughable" that Miami might consider that deal. Yes, Branch was drafted about 30 spots later than Jordan, but he's produced a 6 QB sack season which tops Jordan's rookie year production. Both are young. Plus Branch would be a better fit for what Miami wants to do scheme-wise. Its not that ridiculous at all. Quote:I don't think it is that "laughable" that Miami might consider that deal. Miami is trying to make it work with Jordan. The media has speculated he's on the trade block, but that's the media. Philbin says otherwise. Tell me it's coach speak. I'll tell you the trade talk is nothing more than speculation by hacks barely more qualified to do so than you. In the end, it's irrelevant. Branch is catching the attention of his coaches, and he's working himself into becoming an effective pass rusher in THIS defense. They're not going to squander that at this point if the arrow continues to point in the right direction. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Luke Joeckel update: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000...d-pathetic
"In some aspects, he'll be going through his rookie year again," coach Gus Bradley told the newspaper. "But he was pretty mature when he came in."

Jacksonville's coaching staff was pleased with Joeckel's work during this week's OTAs. His return serves as a boost for a line that also added two new starters at guard in third-round pick Brandon Linder and free-agent acquisition Zane Beadles.

I wonder why the article did not mention we also drafted a center and moved Mike Brewster to that spot.
Quote:You seem to forget the Chargers drafted Eli Manning and traded him to the Giants for Rivers. I haven't forgot that but was unnecessary to my actual point which was about Brees not Rivers We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:Luke Joeckel update: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000...d-pathetic They mentioned before the draft they will be giving Brewster every opportunity to earn the job. I wouldn't expect a sixth round pick to walk in and start at QB of the Oline his first season. Even Meester seasoned at G before moving over. That being said, he does have experience at both guard positions as well.

Quote:They mentioned before the draft they will be giving Brewster every opportunity to earn the job. Coughlin had Meester over at Guard for like several seasons. He probably would have stayed there had Coughlin remained coach. For some reason Coughlin felt he was better at Guard despite him actually being a rather mediocre Guard. Meester moving back to his natural position of Center was one of the few JDR moves that was smart.

You can tell Robinson is the serious guy of the group and Lee is the jokester.
"Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, if he gets angry, he's a mile away and barefoot."
If you look at the depth chart on this site it still has last year's depth chart with Meester and Jones-Drew on it.
