True. That scene was amazing.

Quote:In all my years of reading, I was never happier to read about the death of a character as In was when reading of Joffrey Lannister's demise. Deacon is right, he had to go, and he had to die an unheroic death.

Yeah, agreed. Was pretty awesome seeing his demise like that. I knew it was coming, (I am still on book two), and I know who is responsible for it unfortunately due to earlier YT comments in previous videos. The Red Wedding scene is still the most epic event I have ever seen on TV. The Purple Wedding was a bit different. Just interesting to see now how it effects King's Landing and Tyrion.

You know who was responsible for it in the books.  I was watching an interview with the author and he says they've started deviating from the books to the point were you can't be sure of anything at this point although the books will continue to be the primary source of inspiration.

I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

I have heard that as well. But I really hope they stay true to it. Because if they do, it makes sense. Afterall, the character responsible for how Season One ended is a pretty good character. I respect him to an extent. Same with Tywin Lannister. When he revealed his initial intentions for Tyrion when he was born, you got to see more of what he's truly about, and that's family, and his legacy, and his name and family crest. Can't fault a man for doing everything in his power to better his family. No matter how vile or violent his actions or schemes may be.

Man... tonight's, wow. To me that was more suspenseful and traumatic than the Joff's. My stomach is still churning. I don't even know that I can handle that much intensity. It was a bit sick. Now I have to try to go to sleep.

So now what, I hope Tyrian lives he's become one of my favorite characters.

That ending was intense didn't see that coming at all.

As soon as the taunting started, you knew things were going to end badly.

Tyrian will survive this.  He has to in order to dispatch his father down the road.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I'm bad at guessing what's going to happen next in shows, I figured he was going to get his answers and then go crazy after the king or sister.

If they hold true to the books, his father is eventually going to have his reckoning at the hand of the imp.

Might want to put a spoiler warning on this.

Not that it's correct, mind you.

You know, part of me knew what was going to happen, but it didn't stop me from cheering before it did.... and cussing afterwards.

I know. The book describes Tyrion's reaction to the taunting wonderfully.

I don't watch the show, but my son does and he's read the books. He told me last night after the show that you know it's a good episode when you know what's going to happen and your mouth still drops open when it does!!
