Caldwell Not Shopping Current Players....

The Bears are contenders and need a DT.

Think we can get a 5th for Alualu?

Maybe the Jags can corner the market on round 5!

No, because for whatever reason, Caldwell is not shopping players...

Caldwell would get mad respect if we had every pick in round 5.

The Bears are indeed hurting at DT.   They lost former Jaguar Nate Collins for the season,   after he tore his ACL in the loss to the Saints yesterday.   This after losing Pro Bowl DT Henry Melton for the season two weeks prior in Pittsburgh.

Looking at the situation from a Bears standpoint,    if they were going to acquire a former Jaguars DT to join the Mel Tucker led Defense,    I think they would be better off signing D' Anthony Smith off the street than giving up a 5th Round pick for Tyson Alualu.

True, shopping implies a trade of goods or services for equal value.

When our players get too expensive we give them away for 4th and 5th rounders.
