Andre Branch: Double digit sacks
|
Quote:This is why you should just give up. I simply challenged your claim that all of his sacks were against air. From there, you mushroomed it into much more in order to hide the fact that you couldn't actually back up your claim. It's okay. People who lack the smarts tend to paint themselves into corners, then don't know how to get out of it.Every argument you've used has been incorrect so it really doesn't matter what you're saying now. Andre Branch has had 7 sacks in 29 games, 1 of his sacks (against GB) is the only sack to my knowledge that he has physically beaten his man one on one with no other help. You've yet to provide any evidence of him doing otherwise this entire argument yet you claim that I'm basing all of this off my memory and have asked me multiple times to decribe the other 5 sacks. I showed a video of him against the Texans where he ran free (and got tapped on the leg by a falling linemen) and you considered that him beating a guy one on one straight up. You've been nothing but ignorant this entire time and resort to petty insults to try and make yourself seem smart when in reallity you're a nobody with no friends who has an obsession with spellcheck. I've won this argument, you cannot definitively tell me 7 sacks in 29 games is productive, you cannot tell me a 3rd string DE couldn't run through air and hit a QB, and you sure as hell shouldn't be insulting my knowledge of the game which is clearly head and shoulders ahead of yours. Quote:Idiotic comparison? This is why you and FBT are [BAD WORD REMOVED] stupid. Where have I said to cut him? All i've said to this point is that he has been awful, he's done absolutely nothing to suggest he will get any better, 29 straight games of being manhandled (and manhandled by some of the worst linemen in the game) and he gets a few sacks at the end of the season where specially designed plays allowed him to run free and all of the sudden he's going to be the next Kevin Greene? Please. Kevin Green might have had a rough start but he wasn't pittiful against the run and he didn't get manhandled every single play. You can't back up the air comment. I haven't commented on your grammar, so let's just put that aside for now. You complained that my camp report was too long for you to read without getting a headache. That has nothing to do with your grammar, and everything to do with your limited horsepower. You haven't won any argument because you haven't backed up your initial claim that sparked this debate. Your recollection is hardly worth referencing because it's clear you're not the sharpest tool in the shed. Keep flailing away as you see fit. It just affirms my point about you. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I simply said to this point he has sucked, he's done absolutely nothing to prove he will get any better, 29 straight games of being manhandled (and manhandled by some of the worst linemen in the game) and he gets a few sacks at the end of the season where specially designed plays allowed him to run free and all of the sudden he's going to be the next Kevin Greene? That's usually a sign that maybe you're on the wrong side of the debate. Maybe you're the stupid one, and you're just not smart enough to recognize it? Yeah, that's it. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Maybe you're the stupid one, and you're just not smart enough to recognize it? Yeah, that's it. FBT, Branch sucks, It's all the scheme. Heck I bet Swaguars could go out and do the same thing for the team right now. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:You can't back up the air comment.I did back up the air comment, once again you think that a linemen falling to the ground and touching his legs with the tip of his fingers as a block? He ran through air to get to Keenum, there's no debate there all you have to do is watch it to see that. I never said I couldn't read your report I said what's the point in reading something from your point of view when you were at the practice at a bad angle when they streamed it live on jaguars.com at a much closer angle.

Maybe you're the stupid one, and you're just not smart enough to recognize it? Yeah, that's it.A bunch of homer jag fans think one of the worst DEs in the NFL is good, I gurantee if you polled this on a site of just casual NFL fans who have watched Andre Branch it would go in my favor. Reminds me of when you backed up Gabbert in the preseason last year after that Jet game. I got all the flame but in the end as usual I was right.
I don't see people praising Jeremy Mincey anymore now that he's not a jag even tho he was a lot more productive than Branch.
Quote:I don't see people praising Jeremy Mincey anymore now that he's not a jag even tho he was a lot more productive than Branch. Branch is more talented than Mincey. SIgnificantly, too. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:Branch is more talented than Mincey. SIgnificantly, too.No doubt, but Mincey certainly could beat his man every now and then, Branch has done it once or twice for a sack, If that. Reminds me of when you backed up Gabbert in the preseason last year after that Jet game. I got all the flame but in the end as usual I was right. I'm pretty sure most Jaguar fans who have an IQ higher than shoe leather would see Branch for what he is: a young player who has shown flashes, and who has improved significantly over the course of the past season. He isn't one of the worst DEs in the league in any world but your little hate-filled corner of the short bus society. I'm not even sure what you're talking about regarding Gabbert, but I'm sure like every sack of Branch's career, it's etched in stone in that frozen pea between your ears. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:No doubt, but Mincey certainly could beat his man every now and then, Branch has done it once or twice for a sack, If that. Now it's twice? So, not every sack was against air? You agree Branch is more talented than Mincey? Funny how things are trending as you realize you can't really back up your claims. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:No doubt, but Mincey certainly could beat his man every now and then, Branch has done it once or twice for a sack, If that. Yeah, eventually, maybe at his peak... How many times was Mincey beating his man during his rookie and sophomore seasons? Not often if ever. Branch is in the upward curve of his development. He'll almost certainly cruise on past the likes of Mincey at his peak. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! You didn't back up anything. You cited one sack, while claiming he got every sack vs. air except for the one against GB. I'm still waiting for you to back up the others. Never argue with idiots. Funny how things are trending as you realize you can't really back up your claims.Yes nobody is arguing that Branch has some talent, he's very quick he has good size but to this point he's looked like he's 5'11 190 when it comes to going one on one with a lienman. Yes, and in the land of the short bus, a player who has already shown improvement can't improve further. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

The sack and the forced fumble on A. Rodgers was a nice highlight play for him but he needs to do that more often to secure a slot. I expect him as a 3rd string DE behind Big Red and Tyson Alulu (not the LEO).
Quote:i don't think he sucks.. He's producing and is still young. Could he be replaced by someone better ? Sure but there is no point when he is producing. The point here is that Branch's production, schemed or otherwise, is production nonetheless. Considering that almost all of his sacks came within the last handful of games, it gives up hope that the production will continue. Besides, it's Branch's speed and agility that allows him to be schemed into position anyway. You can't just disregard that. For example, that gif showing him beating the guard shows that a slower DE may not have been "schemed" into that sack. Quote:See Troy Aikman, 1-15 first year, Blaine Gabbert 5-11 first year.. clearly a better QB right That's YOUR comparison. You're using 7 sacks in 29 games as another reason to show he's a bad player. RicoCabesa is showing that 7 sacks in 31 games isn't reflective of a player's skill or whether or not they'll be successful.
