What Would Teddy Mean For The Jaguars?
|
Quote:San Fran at the time was QB needy as well, and passed on him before our pick. I don't take that too mean much. Teams also passed on Aaron Rodgers a whole bunch of times that needed a QB. It has more to do with taking a guy mainly on potential. Teddy eliminates that part of it. You aren't taking him on just potential, but he has shown it in game time and time again. Quote:I did because I was so happy we drafted a qb. I would have bought into anyone. You are like that every year!
Quote:You are like that every year! Glad I've got company then! I wanted Jimmy Clausen. Mostly because I didn't want Tebow.
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.
Quote:You are like that every year! There's been 1 each year, in my opinion, who was worth soiling myself over. Quote:There's been 1 each year, in my opinion, who was worth soiling myself over. It's a fine line, isn't it? I mean, it's good to have hope and be excited over the possibilities that a new player brings to an organization, but it can turn out so badly.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Quote:Yeah, it's fun going full homer for a qb but, man the free fall back down is real. Which is why we need to take Teddy Bridgewater. Because he is one of the most NFL ready players we have seen in a long time.

I can picture it now:
Offensive Rookie of the Year: Jacksonville Jaguars Rookie QB, Teddy Bridgewater Especially if we upgrade our offensive line. Shorts and Blackmon put up pretty good numbers with Blaine "It's against the rules to throw further than 5 yards" Gabbert. Imagine a real Quarterback.
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

I would rank the prospects from 2005 onward like this.
1. Luck (2012) 2. Bridgewater (2014) 3. Rodgers (2005) 4. Ryan (2008) 5. Wilson (2012) 6. Stafford (2009) 7. RG3 (2012) 8. Cutler (2006) 9. Newton (2011) 10. Kaepernick (2011)

Quote:I would rank the prospects from 2005 onward like this. Not bad but Wilson shouldn't be that high. We are talking as a pro prospect.

Quote:Not bad but Wilson shouldn't be that high. We are talking as a pro prospect. Why? Literally the only knock on him was his size!

Quote:I'm glad you took the time to articulate an intelligent response. How many times do I have to point out how damn annyoing it is to give a .GIF response? This isn't 4chan, this is the exact reason the mods were so relectutant to allow them in the first place.

Quote:I would rank the prospects from 2005 onward like this. I'd move Stafford up to 4, RG3 up to 5 and and Newton up to 7 on that list. Quote: Lol i love that gif. Im with you on this one. Wilson should not be in the top 15. Rodgers obviously lasted until 24, so its not like he was a highly touted guy coming out. 1.) Luck 2.)Teddy 3.)RG3 4.)Sam Bradford 5.)Stafford is the top 5 IMO. Rest is debatable.
Quote:Why? Literally the only knock on him was his size! The fact that he got beat out by Glennon at NC State and had to transfer to Wisconsin didn't help. Plus people were worried that one year at Wisconsin was an anomaly. He had never thrown for more than 59% in a season before it.
