More praise more Denard. Could really make an impact this year.

It would be great if that were to happen. He flashed a couple of times last year, but it was disappointing overall. If he is able to bulk up but keep his speed, they'll find ways for him to get involved in the offense.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

for his size at the time he really ran tough during preseason last year. I just don't see the coaching staff giving up on him to quick.

He's got to hold on to the ball. Gus said he's caught everything thrown at him. He didn't say if he retained possession throughout the play.

Good to see Gratz getting mentioned.

that'd be a weird thing to pick out. Either way it sounds like his hands have improved.

Quote:That tweet regarding Jedd Fisch was an interesting read, for anyone that wants to check out the story.

I love that he seems to be focusing in on simplifying and reducing. As he said, every team has the "big book", but the really good ones have the plays that they know will work and that they know how to teach. It doesn't matter how great of a play it is, if you can't get the player's to understand it, it's almost useless.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Clemons missed today. Hope that doesn't become a chronic situation.

Gus said that he was working thru personal issues last time he had missed practice and said he may miss a few more practices throughout OTAs working thru whatever it is that he's dealing with. This time he made the team aware that he would miss today which he didn't do the first time. I don't see it being an issue....yet.

Yeah, he did say that, but you never know. Hopefully it's something he can get resolved before training camp so it doesn't become a problem.

I remember them, but never was all that much into their music; not enough to know which is which, anyway.

I'll remember it now, tho...lol

This is the best Bortles has looked this week. Completed 20-yard pass in middle to Copeland, then disguised screen to Denard really well.

Gus says Denard has had a really good OTAs, his hands have been much better.

Looking forward to seeing Bortles in preseason games.

Gus took the team bowling in lieu of practice.

Something I found encouraging at this early stage...

In regard to the RG position and the possibility of starting a third rounder - Oehser reports:

13.
Brandon Linder
is working into the rotation. The third-round rookie right guard worked with the starting lineup on Thursday, with veteran
Jacques McClendon
taking reps with the first team at the start of practice. Linder appears likely to have a real shot at the starting position come training camp.

This should be expected considering they used 2 draft picks on him.

Sure it's expected. Of course. But the last sentence of the quote is encouraging because spending two picks on a guy doesn't guarantee he can compete for a starting job asa rookie.

Also important to remember - The picks were also a fourth and a sixth.

Brandon Linder starting is expected. Anything other than him starting early on this year would be a big disappointment, IMO.
