Jags @ Broncos Score Predictions

#61

Denver's defense is terrible, are you kidding me? Find me the last time Romo has had the day he did. They had Woodyard go out to injury, and he was already doing nothing the entire game before that. They get Bailey back, but they had Rodgers-Cromartie who was invisible. Von Miller will make the defense better, but if Romo can look almost as good as Peyton manning, we can surely score 20-25 points on them. Get the ball to Blackmon and let him open it up on the field, I mean who seriously didn't think he was gonna get brought down on his TD this past Sunday? He's got skills to keep it moving even with people on his heels.

27 - 24 Jags win with a record breaking 64 yard FG by Scobee as time expires.

Quote:Right, two games out of a 1.25 seasons is not how we do statistics.  But if you expect Champ Bailey to get beat a lot and Rahim Moore to underplay the deep ball every play, good luck....just tell your QB to lob it up every time.

Only 4 teams this year have given up more total points than the Broncos. Get outta here with that trash. Its not just "2" games....

add in the playoff loss to the Ravens and the Broncos have probably given up the most points of any NFL team over their last 6.

Watch the games.   Debating this is hopeless if you just found the stats section on nfl.com and decided you know more than a fan of the team...

Some things to watch out for are garbage time points/yards which was pervasive in all but the Cowboys game, in addition to injuries.

I do watch the games, and have seen several of Denvers games this year and that Ravens Broncos playoff game.

You are just either a Broncos homer or JDR butt smoocher and are seeing things with orange & blue colored glasses.

Then you'd realize your stat is meaningless.  This is not the same defense as the Ravens, so I'm not even sure why that is being discussed, but "that unit" was a top 5 defense last year.  Your argument is like saying that a cold day in June means that the Summer has been quite cold this year...(I'll assume you are in the Northern Hemisphere).  It's just wrong.

The Broncos were in complete control of every game this year except for the Cowboys, and they played that game minus five starters by its end.  I don't use that as a full excuse- they played sloppy and missed a lot of tackles, but anyone who actually watched their games knows this is not the norm. They gave up several touchdowns in 4th quarters where Denver was up by 3+ scores and in prevent defense.  Some of us are not thrilled about the way they are "closing out" games, but that is still what it is.

In any case, we will see Sunday just how effectively the Jags move the ball.  I do not think they will have a lot of success, but that remains to be seen.  This is not the defense that will be on the field in a few weeks though, barring injury.

Yeah, and how much of that is because of the defense? Helps to have a HOF QB, and a plethora of top quality playmakers at every receiving spot on the roster. Easier to play from ahead than behind.

No disagreement that the offense makes it easier.

But the defense is better than the unit that made Tebow look like he was winning games, and better than the unit that was top 5 last year (once we're healthy and back from suspensions, etc).  It's a very solid unit across the board with no "fill-in guests because no one better is available to start" type players.  Like I said, they got spread 5-wide against a unit having a good day, they were not, and they were banged up.  We'll agree to disagree from there.

Funny you should bring that up - yeah, that Denver defense was pretty good in the Tebow era.....Over the past year+ they don't look as formidible as seen especially with the cracks evident by the Ravens playoff loss, and several games this season....gee, I wonder what has changed since the Tebow era?....maybe its that bozo you hired at DC.

I am not a big Dallas fan. But I think you're underrating Romo's ability as a QB. He's not that bad at all during the regular season. He's just developed the Favre reputation of throwing wild passes around when the games on the line which leads to end-results like you saw this past Sunday. Don't kid yourself. We'll be lucky if we score 14 points against Denver at Mile High Stadium this weekend.

Final Score:

Denver: 48

Jacksonville: 10

Broncos 56

Jaguars 28

Justin Blackmon being back helps the Jaguars. Without BG, the Jaguars will be able to move the ball with Shorts and Blackmon. A few garbage time TDs will bring that 28 point spread down to the wire.

28-24 Jags. I then take my winnings from my $50 bet for the Jags to win and buy my own private island.

Not a bad prediction.....I predicted they'd lose by 17, they lost by what? 16?

I told u all that that talk of being the "worst team ever" was hogwash and hyperbole.

The Jags are not a good team, but no worse than the run of the mill bottom 5 NFL team on any given year, just like I said before last weeks game.

Could end up being like that Green Bay game from last season.
