Ode to "Let's talk about"

Quote:I call it short bed. 78 inch bed as opposed to 8 foot. 8 foot looks ridiculous on regular cab trucks. This one is the stocky looking trucks. I like it, to each their own I guess.

Oh, well thats not the one I am thinking of. I'm talking about the truck bed on 4 door trucks that looks like it must be 40 in, tops. It looks ridiculous.

Quote:Did he keep the danglies on it?

Not for long.  Once word got out about the danglies, and his reaction, it was like throwing fresh meat in a pool of piranhas.

Oh, the nut are just temporary. I'll take them off after DF visits JAX. I'm going to cut him off and brake check him. After he gets a windshield full of nuts I'll take them off.

After all, isn't that why he's headed to San fransciso?

So, my wife and I keep talking about baby stuff and at dinner certain questions or things are said and my 16 yr old step son occasionally throws his arms up as if to say "what about me?" I've been with his mom since before he started school so I've gotten a good taste of parenting. I wish I could remember some of the questions or things said. It was stuff that if you had a child before you'd already know the answer type of deal. But since it was soo long ago for me and especially my wife we are trying to figure out some things. Every time step son would throws his hands up we would, ( just for the humorous aspect) would keep talking and ignore him. Finally he asked "what am I, chopped liver?" I told him " your mom was too little to remember when she had you". She was good and didn't hit me for saying that.

Let me get your opinion, I've already got a massive weather guard toolbox( which I can't see ANyTHINg out the back with it on). I put it in and have 4' of bed left. I also have a tonneau coming in within the next couple days. Going solely on looks, which do you think? I can make either one happen for work. I'm kinda torn. I'm going for appearance since I finally got the truck I wanted. Keep in mind regular cab 6.6 ft bed.

Unless you really need the tool box, the tonneau cover is better.  If there are certain tools you need to carry with you, see about something that will fit in the bed under the cover.  Those Fords look really good with tonneau covers.

That is exactly what I was thinking. I already priced some boxes that will fit in the bed with the tonneau. I like the fact that when I need it to haul something I can remove said box and tonneau and move something. Now I can't afford the one I really want. I didn't realize the roll-n-lock was 1200.00. I ordered a tri fold vinyl tonneau that had extremely good reviews. Hopefully I will like it as much as the 150-odd other people that rated it so high.
