Training Camp NOT Family Friendly

An accident of that scale doesn't just happen, as it would likely result in a few firings and even in the miniscule chance that they did slip up, it would be remedied immediately.

Quote:I dispute that the Jags played “vulgar” music. Rap in and of itself isn’t vulgar,

Um.....I listen to it on occasion....are you out of your mind??? Every other word is a curse word or slur and the subject matter is usually all adult material.

So maybe my neighbor did not hear any vulgarities? I'll be damned.

Quote:There's nothing wrong with the songs played by the DJ when at the Jags facility. I am not seeing the issue if that was the case as someone has pointed out already.
The music comes from the field during practices at home.  I'd assume it was the same at the practice tonight.  Odds are it was the same setup, which means it would have been managed by the Jags.  If there were inappropriate lyrics being pumped out during practice, someone screwed up in the organization.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

There is the DJ's Twitter, if you aren't trolling, go ahead and file a complaint with him as he is the one directly responsible.

The organization would ultimately take the fall if this was the case, but I'd have to think it would have been the DJ pulling a fast one.

One other point I just thought of that made me laugh. Over the years I’ve been to tons of high school football games all over the First Coast, including a few at Bartram. The music I heard tonight was no different from what I’ve heard from student’s cars, player introductions, during some periods of the game when the band wasn’t playing for some reason, etc.

On second thought, I have heard explicit lyrics from some of the cars of the students.

By all accounts, tonight’s event was a homerun. Everyone seemed very pleased with the Jags coming to SJC. And the school finically benefited from it.

I’d love for the Jags to do 3 – 5 of these a year during training camp. St. John’s, Clay, & Nassau make a lot of sense. If we continue to gain traction in the Orlando market I’d even try to do one in Volusia County down the line.

I havent been out to a practice this year but last year the music they played was censored, not sure why they would all of a sudden change it so there are curse words this year

If it is nothing but a lie/ troll by the OP, then I got wooshed. My commentary (re: any Jags responsibility) was based on assuming the thread creator was being truthful.

Who comes on here to lie about something like that?? In that much detail?!?....Whats the point?

In 2014 people whine and complain about everything smh... If it's practice or a game Jags always play clean versions of all the songs they play. What do you suggest they play? Kids bop?

I listen to a wide range of music which includes some rap. When I listen to it in my car rides I don’t hear curse words because I choose to listen to stations that edit it out!

Plus, I’m wise enough when it comes to Rhythm and Poetry to know there are tons of Rap songs with absolutely no curse words at all! I’m kinda an aficionado like that.

If he is/ was telling the truth, it wasn't the clean versions, or otherwise his son wouldn't be asking him "Dad, whats a [BAD WORD REMOVED]"??  :woot:

Tons??.....lol......

maybe like 4 or 5.

I've listened to it for the last 20+ years....I don't know where all this mass of "clean" rap music is. It certainly isn't on the stations I listen to.

...and thats fine for me, I don't care. I'm an adult and the rap music I like (mostly old school Geto Boys and stuff), i like as is. But lets be honest here. Most of it is explcit. Kids shouldn't be listening to it.

Who knows....the thread creator seemed to bolt once more & more people questioned it, so....

Very lame if he simply made up that story to troll.

Lesson learned to me. Don't give people the benefit of the doubt.

Yes, I could show you tons of songs that don’t have any curse words. Unfortunately, 97% they aren’t the type that hits the charts or get radio play that’s ran by the major labels.

So it is true that nearly all of the rap played on the radio does have some adult word in its explicit version.

However, if you listen to Rap stations that let the F, B, and S words fly then that should be brought to the attention of the FCC. The stations I listen to don’t play those explicit lyrics.
