It wouldn't be too much if he played like Munoz or Ogden. But he doesn't.
Only a chump boos the home team!

Young stud LT's are hard to come by.... Quote:Is this too much? Discuss. What are the real numbers? PFT is pretty good about explaining contracts and what a player will probably collect and what is fluff. Perhaps they'll soon post something about the new contract.
The sun's not yellow, it's chicken.
Ogden, Munoz, Boselli.. these guys looked the part very early in their careers. Smith, to me, just looks like a guy right now. A solid player, but that is a lot of cash to tie up on a guy who is still proving it. Hardly the first move in Dallas I have questioned.

Personally I think it's a good deal for the Cowboys. The contract expires in 2022, and when that year rolls around they'll(OTs) be signing 20 mil a year contracts
PFT thinks its a bad contract on the Smith's behalf.

It wasn't just potential. The only fear was injury. Smith may not live up to the hype. Quote:Ogden, Munoz, Boselli.. these guys looked the part very early in their careers.
