Here's a topic I wanted to get opinions on. When you have a friend, do you guys communicate on the reg, occasionally seeing what the other is doing for a weekend to go out and have a good time? 

 

I seem to have friends, but none ever communicate with me, so I wonder if they are just bad at the whole initiation of the fun thing, or if I'm boring, or what. 

 

For example if a friend of mine goes bowling with some of his friends, shouldn't said friend at least offer an invite as well? 

 

I'm bored out my mind. 

 

 

It's 6:06 PM. I am at work. It's somewhat slow. So, I'll bite....

 

When you have a friend, touching base once or twice a week is pretty normal. Depends on family, etc. With how advanced technology is these days though you can text back and forth, you can post on someone's wall, it's really too easy to keep in touch with friends.

 

So... if you're feeling left out, or behind. Chances are, that so called friend isn't much of a friend my friend. It doesn't mean you're boring, it just means that maybe you don't really fit into their circle enough for them to invite you along. Another important thing to know is this, do you pay your fair share when you go out? I dropped friends in the past because they were cheap, or wouldn't take turns splitting the bill or paying their share. If I wanted to go hang out with somebody for some fun and it was on my time I would just drag my wife around everywhere like a baseball bat.

 

Personally speaking though, I despise people in general. They're overly draining. I am an introvert. I don't need a group of friends to justify or ensure my importance or existence in life. That's what a PS4 is for. With all that said. I do go out once or twice a weeknight or weekend with my wife and a few mutual friends (mostly her friends, that I can somewhat tolerate, except the religious buff, I secretly would like to punch that guy in the face, it's almost mandatory I sit eight feet away from him at a table if alcohol is going to be involved).

I am, for the most part like this, and am totally cool with it. But I don't try to be either. 

 

My wife hung out with her friend for basically 12 hours. It was a basketball game, then sushi bar, then to a pub for drinks. But if you hung out with that person for 6 hours the night before then another 12 hours then it gets me thinking. 

 

Yeah, I'd be thinking too. Spending more than four hours together with anyone, outside of fishing with my dad, warrants a beer and some alone time to myself to mentally recharge. But who is this friend your wife is seeing for nearly twelve hours? This could be a problem sir.....

She went out again tonight. I'm just biding my time before I worry about it. If she goes out 2-3 more times this week and then so fourth and so on then I'll start to get more worried. 

 

I figured I'd pop the question "Hey I got a fantastic recommendation from a co-worker about this restaurant, why don't you invite your friend over then I'll invite a friend as well". 

 

Man, I apologize I was so late to this party. You've been duped my friend. Do you see what you did here in this post? You attacked the root cause of your anxiety about your wife's new friend in one sentence, but then completely denied it with another sentence by thinking about actually "popping" a question to your wife? I mean, what are you doing here man? Are you asking her out? She's your wife, fish is in the boat...well...maybe...based on the few things I've read now so far it appears she's now flopped out of your boat and into someone else's. Now I have to read another eighteen pages. Hope you're happy with yourself. This requires a pizza, some chicken wings, wet naps, and a bottle of crown that's been kept tucked away in the corner of my freezer for such a rare occasion such as this.

So an update. She went out again on Monday was out for 6-7 hours. Said dinner and a movie. She's going out again tonight. I looked at our text message log and she's exchanged 200-300 text with one number since beginning of month.I can't see what she's texting cause she has her laptop and cell phone locked with unknown pins and PW. Everything I've read suggests its not a good outcome for me however part of me still doesn't believe it. I asked her where she was going specifically bit she is being vague.

 

She cheated on you, or is still cheating on you. I feel bad for you man. You seem like a pretty cool guy.

Alright, this is no longer fun to read. It's quite sad and depressing. I feel really sorry for you. It happens. She stole some years from you but you got a son out of that. And you have to be thankful for him. Is it cool that your woman left you for a woman? I don't know. That's unique. Not really your fault. That was just her nature. That's actually more common than you think. I had a friend that went through the same thing with her parents before they split up.

 

Well, like I said earlier, with how advanced communication is these days, you can go online right now, make a profile, and be dating women in no time my friend. Maybe find your soulmate dude. Go out there and knock them dead (not literally). And then get back on here in a few months and post about how awesome it is that you found your true love over the enternet and didn't get catfished.

lol. I can finally put the baby to bed we made 20 pages. In my 9 years on this board. I'm happy to say that I've finally cracked a 20 page thread. And it's all true btw. And it's the most I've ever posted at any one time.
