We also run MJD between the tackles after a failed 1st down run.

The element if surprise?

If you've followed our running game closely you'll see that no such thing exists. When the defense is congested in the red zone it isn't even a possibility. We have no fullback which is what we've always been accustomed to. I have no idea what kind of offense we're trying to muster but it just isn't going to work with our current personnel and sadly our best personnel are our WR's at this point.

No pain, no gain.

MJD did look a little better when he got loose yesterday.

He lowered the boom on a few trying to tackle him.

Still a little slow getting started though.

Hope he gets better as the year goes on.

Oh and I like Todman a lot too.

MJD still has gas in the tank. The problem is this team. He will bounce back next year while the Jags move on with Teddy Bridgewater as the face.

I can see MJD being part of a one two punch on playoff contender

With Greg Jones leading MJD he was money in the bank near the goal line.

This.

We let Jones and D. Smith walk out the door. Why, oh why?

With that being said, I sincerely think MJD is saving himself for free agency.

I'd love that to be true because he deserves a few years on a team that doesn't blow.

Quote:Do you have any other RB's?  I mean to completely abandon the running game in the red zone when your QB is struggling...just sounds like the recipe to lose.  I can understand if ya'll are tanking to draft Teddy Bridgewater because you guys really need a capable QB!

Yes we have Jordan Todman who got his first td from the goal line. But why use what worked before? When can throw it four times in a row.

MJD held out last year... then he got an imaginary injury when he realized the team wasn't going to compete... then he got fat in the off season.... then he got in a fight with a security guard... not thug... GUARD...
