Nobody has taken away his comeback win against Andy Reid and the Chiefs.


One of the best comebacks in NFL playoff history. Right up there with Frank Reich, Tommy Maddox and Jeff Garcia in terms of great comeback wins.

 

Problem is... his lone win still doesn't erase his otherwise relatively bad playoff record.

Well, he was one of the best QB prospects ever. He was one of the can't miss'tyiest prospects you'll ever get at that position coming out of the draft. Yes, there were a few others, too, but yes, so was Luck.

That comeback win in the playoffs last year did a lot to elevate Luck on the realtime QB totem pole. 

 

I think it did too. A lot of people say the Chiefs were depleted, but the Colts were too. Either way, a comeback that large in a playoff atmosphere is a very impressive feat.

Exactly.  That "point" was already shot down by the metrics illustrating it was more luck (lowercase) than Luck (uppercase.)  Someone's not keeping up.  Either by being slow, or just on purpose to cling to a flaccid opinion.

This is a very specific meaning of the term "lucky", wholly unrelated to any specific game circumstances or outcome.  When we say "lucky" here, we are simply referring to the difference between what a team with the Jets' point differential would historically have been expected to achieve in terms of total wins and what the Jets actually achieved, regardless of any individual plays, games, referee's calls, or other circumstances. 

 

So saying the Colts "got lucky," means pretty much nothing.

Fact:  Sanchez has performed better in the playoffs than Luck.

 

Fact:  Luck is a far better QB than Sanchez, and it's not even close.

 

Care to unlatch from your strawman long enough to debate the facts I've presented instead of your imaginary concoctions?

 

Couldn't do that, that would require conceding truth.  Not your style.  Never has been, never will be.

 

There's simply no excuse for how poorly Luck has played in his playoff losses.  That just further reinforces the lowercase luck factor, that the team really wasn't playoff caliber.  Instead, it was an easier path than most due to a putrid division that spotted them six wins.

 

But carry on inventing other things that haven't been said.  Then you may have a chance.  Maybe.

He's nearly the statistical equal of Eli Manning across all metrics, the sole difference being Eli's ridiculous amount of INTs last season.
