DRob is quietly having a good pre-season

I think he runs harder then sprinkles but he does seem to fit that scatback type of role.

If he could ever become successful at route running and continue to improve in the backfield we could eventually have our own version of Percy Harvin.

Quote:I've actually been a bit disappointed in Storm.

Robinson, on the other hand, has impressed me.  He's shown flashes and promise that he's "getting" the position, that this experiment is not one of futility.

^This.

I was skeptical that Robinson would be worth keeping, but he's clearly outplayed both Todman and Johnson. I'd like to see how he does with the 1's.

It was due to a hand problem that apparently has cleared up with time.

Quote:He hesitates too much. He needs to learn that its ok to accept a 1 yd gain if nothing is there. Instead he dances and turns it into a 5 yd loss.
Badger I agree with you. Only the coaches know how he has looked with the first string. If he even has any chances to tell you the truth. I do not like his quickness so far even though he has been against 3rd string guys

That's something good old fashioned coaching can fix. Rookie running backs are notorious for not have that "patience" needed at the next level. He'll learn I'm sure.

He bobbled and nearly fumbled a snap this past game, but luckily no one was around to hit him and break it loose.

besides that, he's been pretty good .

Quote:I don't see why they can't keep all four.

I say stash Storm on the Practice Squad.  D-Rob is ready for carries and can bring the speed.  He can turn the corner on the outside, but I'm also thinking about his inside running.  He hits the hole hard and anytime he makes it to the 2nd level he'll be a threat to score.  Todman is a good all-around RB.  At some point, Storm may be activated if they feel he has surpassed Todman or if somebody gets injured.  There's still a lot of questions, and nobody on the Jags has ever been "The Guy", but it's nice to have better depth and some RBs with different skill sets.

I feel like Todman is Gerhart's primary backup due to his strength in pass protection. That block the other night on the quick pass to Lewis was fantastic.

Robinson looks like a great role player and may see the field more than Todman. I was critical of him this off season, but he looks like he has taken a step forward.

I think Storm will be inactive or placed on the practice squad. He doesn't look ready to go right now. But I think he has room to grow.

Agreed. I would like to see D-Rob get some carries with the ones to see how he looks against an other teams starters.

Dude had an ulnar nerve palsy. Pretty much eliminates the use of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th fingers on the involved hand. It's amazing that he could handle the ball at all. That appears to be completely resolved. I remember him having trouble handling one hand-off on Thursday, and otherwise no. Did I miss something?

Denard is going to become a big play maker this season. I don't think he'll be a starter in the NFL, but he'll make a lot of plays.

peoples agenda against BBC are hilarious. The team and drob confirmed he had nerve damage in his forearm which prevented him from gripping anything tight. but i guess you see what you want to see.

He was dealing with a nerve injury in his hand last year.  Gus admitted that when training camp started this season.  He's fully healed from that now and his ball security hasn't looked to be an issue.

John Oesher confirmed that he was recovering from an nerve injury. I think he's a bit more reliable than Alfie but spin away.

I'm fairly certain Alfie gets the bulk of his information from sources like Oehser.

Would love to see more of Robinson in kickoff or punt return duty. He has the speed and scat elusiveness.

Perhaps if they did not have an obvious agenda. They dig their heals in so much against players like Branch and Poz and for guys like Alualu. It's not a news site. It's an opinion site. We don't have to agree with the opinion.
