Quote:Hated the pick at first, especially after the browns robbed the bills. But had we passed on bortles, Cleveland would've taken him at #4.This was my biggest issue with the pick...not so much wanting Bridgewater//Manziel over Bortles but that 2 top 10 picks the Bills gave away seem to present more value then picking at #3. I will gladly take a Bortles over an extra top 10 pick next year and one of Manziel//Bridgewater. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! I was one of them, I'm happy to eat crow now but would also like to point out that we haven't actually played a real game yet

I thought Bortles was just a big body with a pretty good arm and good composure. I thought he could make a good but not great QB. Didn't think I'd be seeing him throwing darts out there, calling audibles, going through his progressions, improvising when need be, placing balls perfectly, running n gunning, and just looking like he has that "it" factor. Now I'm convinced he can and probably will be a great QB. I had hoped that he could compete with Andrew Luck. Now I seriously think he can be better.

I'd gladly eat crow and know for a fact that only about 8 people on this board shouldn't. I wanted Bridgewater but warmed up to Blake after we took him. It showed me that there are parts of the evaluation process we just aren't privy to.

I did not like Bortles at #3, however I continue to trust Dave and Gus. Bortles. is. good.
I'm not sure if I need to eat crow or not... The draft was so long ago I can't remember my original reaction... I think I was probably "meh" about the pick.
If I was meh, does that mean I should get a slice of crow... If so, pass the salt! Quote:Some more crow candidates in this one: Funny

I had Bortles #1 on my final prospect rankings board. I had Bortles and Bridgewater neck and neck for most of the season and gave Bortles the #1 spot at the end. I actually was and still am of the opinion, which is complete opposite of DC and everyone elses, that Bortles was more ready to step in right away and contribute, while Teddy needed more time to develop.
Bortles has the elite pocket feel, gunslinging mentality, and improvisation to have success right away. I thought Teddy was going to be the slow-to-build, possibly higher ceiling quarterback. Teddy is more of a precision quarterback that needs perfect timing, a decent pocket, and chemistry. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:Bortles can't throw a tight spiral or with NFL velocity. He is a very average College QB and will suck in the NFL. I have a feeling his stock will plummet after the combine and his pro day when he runs a 4.8 40 and misses numerous throws while displaying poor arm strength. Fail.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

TMD trashing Nassib but he looked way better than eli manning last night. There should be an asterisk at the bottom of every TMD post that just says how wrong he is about every player that he talks about.
he doesnt actually watch them play so arguing with him doesnt help but i still do it anyway.

I didn't have a huge problem with the pick, but I was hollering for the trade with CLE.
I'll take a wing please!
