Any chance Jerry Sullivan could reclamate Stephen Hill?.....

Quote:How in God's name is he eligible for a Practice Squad?!?!New rule that allows each team to add two players who have accrued two years towards free agency to their practice squad. So basically any third year player is practice squad eligible now. There is no limit on the amount of participation over the first two years. We show less advertisements to registered users. This reminds me of TMD banging on about Heyward-bey last year and how smart the Colts were
Quote:@Rotoworld_FB: Stephen Hill lands on CAR's practice squad http://t.co/rIFY3xLN4B They're gonna have the best practice squad ever now. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."
Quote:New rule that allows each team to add two players who have accrued two years towards free agency to their practice squad. Wow! I had no idea they changed the eligibility requirements. I wonder what kind of contract he's under.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Many won't work out like the above example, but so what? What is lost? Not much. And if you happen to hit with one of them, then you can find yourself a quality player for a fraction of the cost it usually would take.
Kinda like Caldwell did with Marks, Blackmon, and Ball.

Quote:Any franchise that takes a low risk chance on a potential high reward player is making a smart move. This. Quote:Wow! I had no idea they changed the eligibility requirements. I wonder what kind of contract he's under.Basic PS weekly pay of $6,300. $107,100 total if he is on the practice squad for the whole season. That compared to $525,000 minimum salary for a player who has accrued two years like he has and is on a 53 man roster. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:Basic PS weekly pay of $6,300. $107,100 total if he is on the practice squad for the whole season. Well, someone here said he was probably entertaining multiple offers. If this is the best he could secure, that says something. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Bet they wish they could reclamate that statement.
Only a chump boos the home team!
Quote:Well, someone here said he was probably entertaining multiple offers. If this is the best he could secure, that says something. Probably someone regurgitating more mindless rants of his agent.

Quote:Any franchise that takes a low risk chance on a potential high reward player is making a smart move. Maybe with combine stars/busts like Hayward bey or hill would have limited Allen Hurns reps and now we may have just cut a way more promising receiver to appease the fans who need some name recognition
Hill blames the New York media for his problems:
Quote:Hill, who is now on the Panthers’ practice squad, says his reputation for dropping passes was more a function of the media coverage of the Jets than an accurate reflection of the way he played. http://m.nbcsports.com/content/stephen-hill-media-exaggerated-how-many-passes-i-dropped This kids attitude is something else.
"Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, if he gets angry, he's a mile away and barefoot."
Wait, what? Are you implying that thew New York media is not harder on it's players or over-exploits things (whether for right or for wrong)? He didn't say anything about the New York media that isn't true and isn't already known.
I've already showed facts. Stephen Hill only had one drop in 2013. That is not a typo. One. His career drop % is better than Cecil Shorts. Yes, Stephen Hill has struggled with drops but it's not nearly on the level that the media or some of you guys seem to believe. The fact that you are condemning his attitude for stating the widely known truth about the New York media is proof for me that you will never give the kid a fair shake. If you think he is a bad WR, fine, but when you are reaching this far to make something out of nothing then you start showing unreasonable subjectivity. |
