I think (I didn't make the original comment) that it refers to a recent infulx of non-natives to a particular area presenting a security threat. And yes, that may be politically incorrect profiling, but it's also the pragmatic answer to the potential threat.

Obamas plan for ISIS couldn't possibly be worse. Last night he basically laid out a plan to drop some really expensive bombs on not hopefully empty targets, spend billions arming and training another group of rebels, and call it a day.

I guess we're just going to ignore what created ISIS in the first place, arming rebels to take on Assad. Funny when you see democrates and republicans back something you should know we're about to get screwed. They're ignoring the Southern border that's where we are really vunerable.

For the last time stop arming rebels, either send in search and destroy teams then pull out and lock down the borders or let the Middle East burn. But damn it every time we arm a group of rebels we end up having to fight them within a decade.

We just don't learn our lesson.

Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria...it'd be comical if it wasn't so depressing.

Those that don't learn from history, are doomed to repeat it....

Seems like it, and the worse part is I expect when the Republicans take back the white house our foreign campaigns will only expand. Heck half of the GOP is ticked off we're not sending in ground tropes already.

Evidently they've beheaded David Haines, a British humanitarian worker.

They have autoplay video so be careful if you're not interested in actually watching it. I'm not, so I don't know if any of them do.

Fox News now saying Iran created ISIS, WHAT!?

Their Argument, because Iran backs Assad in Syria they created the vacuum that gave rise to ISIS. Are they just completely ignoring that the rebels who are now ISIS we ARMED to take on Assad?

Sounds like ISIS is going to be the new excuse to launch actions against Iran, even though Iran and ISIS are sworn enemies. What a mess.........

McCain just gave an interview recently regarding the passing of the bill allowing us to arm "moderate Syrian rebels". He was asked can we tell and if so who can tell who the good rebels are and distinguish them from the extremist groups. He replied with "I am and I can. I've been over there, I know them"

Trust McCain he's got the answers. As long as the question is "war?"   Wallbash

Well when this blows up in our face remember America it was a bipartisan effort, Republicans and Democrats unite!

http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/09/1...P820140919

Total of 12 Republicans and 10 Democrats voted no..

edit: here's the roll call, both our senators no surprise voted yes. They both need to go.

http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/ro...vote=00270

I also find it disgusting this was all rolled into the Senate spending bill, like the ISIS conflict is just some line budget we should approve. Washington makes me sick.
