Ray Rice cut by Baltimore

#1

Baltimore have cancelled Ray Rice's contract! I don't think he will get another job in the league now.

He'll get another chance. He doesn't deserve it, but he will get one.

Can you say blackballed? He's done in the NFL.

Sad it took TMZ releasing the video for this to happen.

But glad it happened on a Monday morning and is getting the press it needed.

The NFL would have planned it to get released on a Friday night of a holiday weekend.

It didn't happen soon enough.

I hope they take him to court to claw back some of his bonus money.

The Ravens organization was smart in acting quickly :  in terms of doing the right thing,   P.R.,  and trying to get the focus on the Thursday Night game vs. the Steelers as much as possible.

If a dog killer can do prison time and still get back into the league, Ray Rice will find another spot on a roster in desperate need.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Yep. You have teams that believe in redemption and you have teams that simply don't care about negative press when it comes to easy talent.

One of those two types of teams will pick him up.

Can he play offensive line? Hmmm...

On that note, isn't Incognito available? He went thru rehab.

I'm just sayin...

The Ravens are trying to save face.

They handled the situation very poorly for several months. Same with the NFL.

It won't be immediate, but you're probably right.

Sometime in the future a team will think it needs a wife beater to fill a roster slot and they'll talk about how he's changed and repentant for it and there will be a lot of news coverage for a while though the fans there will probably deal with it if he plays well.

I doubt it. He was already in decline at a position that's clearly not valued. Teams already don't want to deal with negative press.

And he's been indefinitely suspended so its a moot point

No question about this.

How did the NFL "investigate" this and ultimately cut him based on a new TMZ video? NFL is full of it.

At least justice was done.

I hear he's being suspended indefinitely now.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.
