Henne, Young, and Bowanko start on Sunday

Quote:That's utterly ridiculous. I remember a few times Henne didn't recognize the blitz at the line. That's on him before the ball is snapped. He held onto the ball too long a few other times.

How do you differentiate between Henne holding the ball too long and a WR running the wrong route? If Henne is going to throw too Marqise Lee at the end of a 5 step drop and Lee runs a completely wrong route, how would you (us, the fans) know? And do you then just expect Henne to throw it regardless? Make another read in time?

Genuine questions I'd like some views on.

Exactly, that's the problem with fan's opinions on play calling and what breaks down during a play.  We don't know the original intent, so why come act like some expert on a fan forum?

There are experts who blamed about half the sacks on Henne

You will never get a good answer to some of these questions.  Many fans on here are what I call "fantasy football experts" or "gaming experts" (X-Box, Playstation, etc.).  Obviously they know better by watching what is on TV as opposed to Professional Coaches and players watching REAL game tape.

Something I see a lot of the forum is people say they "watched the tape". What tape? How many of us have access and are privy to coaches tape? And, how many of us even know what play was called, and what are the routes of that play? Do we know what routes are to be run for each blitz being thrown at us? I'm honestly not knocking anyone, but as fans we know very little as to what is actually going on with the design and variables of each play. Of the 10 sacks, I thought I heard the coaches say today that Henne was responsible for 1....but I heard many others (fans and media) say at least 4-6.

“We really haven’t talked about that,” Bradley said. “We just put all of our focus on Chad. We said, ‘Hey, we feel good. He’s the starter.’ We just feel good about what he has done.”

This is getting ridiculous.

I didn't know that. That would be cool! I wonder if the NFL charges an arm and a leg?

Well I now know it's not worth waking up at 3am to watch live. I'll watch the next day with little expectation

You're right, the coaches did say that. And they know the plays... you're right about that also.

But Badger said experts such as Ryan O and Alfie pinned half on Henne. But I'm pretty sure they don't know the plays.

I have it, but you're still left guessing as to what each player is actually supposed to be doing. I think it's like $40.

Im just saying there are plenty of people who are giving unbiased opinions on it. Coaches do not give unbiased opinions to the public. Coaches lie. Thats a fact.

Whether or not Henne sacked himself doesnt even matter to me. What matters to me is that every snap he takes is a waste of time. I would just like to see mediocre football again.

Lageman did too. Even so, throwing the ball away was an option in a lot of cases
