The really funny part is that for about half of the season that year it looked like Gabbert might actually turn into a decent QB. Mularky must have worked really hard covering up all of his deficiencies.

Yea it was get the ball out as quickly as possible (to your first read), if it's not there take a sack or throw it away, he was coached to be conservative because he was so bad.

Blaine compares favorably to similar guys in his draft class such as the incompetent Christian Ponder and the fragile Jake Locker, at least Ponder got a hot wife out of the deal.

At least Ponder got to the playoffs and Locker is somewhat decent. We cheered when Gabbert could complete a 5 yard slant he was so bad. Everyone in Everbank would be like:

 Of course Branch warranted some criticism - but there are a half dozen DE's starting in the league right now that did next to nothing in their first two years and grew into productive players. It's not an uncommon scenario for DEs - and many of the BCC regulars refused to consider that an option.

In my opinion Poz has never played at a legitimate pro bowl level, but if getting a pro bowl bid Garrard style makes you feel more secure about it then good for you.
