Should the Jags make a move for Morris Claiborne?

Quote:All of that considered, he was still selected #6 for a reason and he has actually shown flashes of being a competent player.

Sometimes, guys just need a change of scenery. Marshawn Lynch comes to mind as a guy who had trouble in his draft city and went on to alter his career path in another.

The potential is simply worth more than the pick. Even if him reaching expectations doesn't pan out, you're not setting your franchise back years and no one's going to say it was a dumb move because the pick was worth the potential alone. But who knows, if he does pan out and play to expectations, then you have just obtained an all-star player for a ham sandwich, and you look like a genius.

Moves like that change franchises forever.

Or another guy who was a journeyman and played in a soft zone scheme like the one Claiborne is in....Alan Ball. Except, Claiborne was actually highly thought of in college.

Im not sure if I would want to give up a pick since he has shown he is a bit hotheaded as of late. If released...maybe...
