He has so much talent, but he just doesn't have the body to handle life in the NFL. Wallbash

We should put him on IR and free up a roster space.

Quote:He's why you don't draft players from small schools.  The big schools have weeded out all the frail babies like him.

Plus he's not even any good when he's not hurt.  He's NEVER been anything other than a 3rd or a 4th WR on any other team in the league not named the Jaguars.

This silly fanbase has overrated him from Day 1.  He's just a guy, maybe and honestly, probably not even that.
You DO know that Allen Robinson (Penn State) and Marqise Lee (USC) have both missed time with hamstring injuries, don't you?

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

Irrelevent to my post. They are in their 4th career game, he isn't.

He sucks. Period.

He has to hate it knowing this is a contract year too.

I personally do not think Shorts will be resigned.  He's been hurt, and he is going to want big money.  He won't be worth the hassle or contract.  Does anyone else think he stays next year?

Cecil would be better off signing a one year "prove you can stay healthy deal" with the Jags, if he has a big year in 2015 he can try to break someone's bank in 2016. There's no way he's going to get a lot of guaranteed money after this year.

In before the guaranteed "We should've traded him earlier while he had value."

Lol,, the thing is, I don't believe he had any trade value before this anyway. Meaning, I couldn't picture any team trading for him. He'll sign on somewhere else on a fairly cheap deal after his stint with Jax is up. He's another Miles Austin (without the extra couple years of good production).

I just pulled my hamstring for the 1st time playing Bball last night.

That's one debilitating injury.

Good grief.

Get well soon Cecil.

I feel your pain.

I agree to most comments here, shorts is becoming very injury prone. Yes that hamstring takes a while to heal, and to keep injuring it means it may never heal like it should. Either that leaves him having to wrap that leg during his playing time or he is done. Looks like he may not come back this year, kinda like saving face.

Now its time for our rookies to shine.

Go Jags Banana

It's not fun.  I had a grade 1 strain years ago (nurse swore it was a grade 2 but Dr. insisted on 1)  and I would have been useless in any athletic endeavor for over a month.

Cecil obviously has a grade 2 or maybe even 3 which involves a significant to severe tear in the muscle. Previous injuries to a hamstring do lead to easier  re-injury of the muscle  -- so I'd imagine at this point we don't see Cecil until well after the bye week.

Good luck on your recovery as well, MightyRX.
