Quote:lol....so Trav got caught cheating? Wow, shocker...

Last season he fleeced snowwolf in a fantasy football trade. Nice guy.

There have been quite a few trades I've seen in fantasy where I felt one person got fleeced.  In fact, a league I'm in this year there is one person throwing his weight around to make trades.

If someone agrees to it, you cant get mad...you probably could have gotten something similar if you tried.

That was funny, I think the same season as 91% ... ?

#2 was killer, one of my all time favorites. Bjorn had a knack for good stuff. Like "My Cat is Puking"

#7 was very cool, because JW went out on a limb, and as a person that has attempted to understand the thought process of people with A.S. (I may not be smart enough to understand), If we were all equal to the people that are? It would be a better world .... Then again, there wouldn't be very many people making a living as a comedian. I really appreciate JW, I doubt she appreciates me though. Meh, I don't worry about that too much. I understand I will never fully comprehend A.S. ... I do try.

  • I'm not sure what year it was, but it was a Survivor thread and TravC59 was caught with two sn's.  Classic Classic stuff.

That was funny x funny. I think that was also the season Johnny Football went nuts .... Wait a minute, was it Johnny Football? I may be all confussed (again). Why does the name Johnny Football ring a bell? ... Was someone before their time?

It was Johnny Football...he went nuts on me! I still giggle when I think about that!! That was some of the best times I've ever spent on the Internet right there!! I'm sad that when they changed over to the new mb that I lost the pm from him that I had saved all this time! It was a wonderful thing to be the cause of a supposedly grown man to have such a complete melt down like that!!

Quote:1. "Rush sucks" (Bjorn):  A 8-10 page opus on why prog rock was terrible.

2. "Pics, or it didn't happen" (Bjorn): A thread in which the poster was invited to state 3 things about himself/herself, only one of which was true.  True statement was then backed up with appropriate picture.

3. "A message from the almighty" (Chooch): actually, this was nothing more than chooch posting a link for an AC/DC video.  It was awesome.

4. "Why Pittsburgh wins" (Rashean27Mathis): A well formulated but ill-conceived argument comparing Roethlisberger to Garrard, in which we found out that defense really does win championships.  Or, at least it used to.

5. "Obscure yet great 90s songs" (TMD):  Pretty much what the title said.  Turns out there was some good music knocking around in the 90s.  Also some terrible stuff, too.

6. "Under what circumstances will Dakota root for the Tacks?" (er.. me.): A tack win coupled with a Jags win would propel Jax into the 2010 playoffs.  Jags lost anyway, but we found out that some people just can never root for some teams.

7. "I have Asperger's syndrome": a thread that suddenly made a lot of posting history very, very, clear.

Great memory!

I miss Bjorn.   Sad

I'm not mad, I just thought he took advantage. I wouldn't do something like that. I mean isn't there a code of ethics?

I'm glad I'm not the only one.  By that, I mean the only one Trav has tried to fleece.  Last season he offered me Michael Turner for Adrian Peterson.  With a straight face, no less.  He did throw in a couple of WRs and eventually up the deal, but the first few offers were a little silly.

That being said, he's a man of his word, once he gives it.

The one time I played in Snowy's league Snowy offered to trade some of his really good players for my mediocre Jag players. I said no at first, but he was insistent. I finally agreed because I figured that the other players in the league would veto the trade anyway. I was way surprised when it went through. I took some heat for that, even though Snowy initiated the trade.

I forget, what did you do to him?

I should have saved some of my pm's from being Probst.  People would get so mad...lol.  It was one of the best interactions we've had here.

That's the thing...I really didn't do anything to him! It was at the end of the game when it came down to him and Stu (where is that guy btw? Haven't seen him in forever!) they had to make their pleas to the jury, but before the official pleas went out he posted that he hadn't lied or back stabbed anyone in the game (something like this...I don't remember what he actually wrote now) but all I did was call Barbra Streisand on him because he was trying to finagle from the start of the game with me and everyone else! He went on to call me everything but a white woman in that thread which is why he ultimately lost to Stu...everyone thought the guy had gone crazy by the way he was acting in the thread! What's funny is that if he'd have kept his mouth shut he'd have won the game....most were gonna vote for him over Stu until his little tirade on me!!!

He always starts with terrible trades (a manager where I work does the same thing then tries to tell you that you are hosing him....) and then usually will add to it.

There are certain people you learn not to trade with.  I'm not saying he is one, but typically there are people that try to take advantage of others.  It only takes one person to agree.

Good for him.
