Week 6 Games Of Interest

Quote:Nebraska vs Mich st. is a go, that'll be fun.  Let's see that nebraska ground game vs st's D.

Also thanks JW^.  That puts things into perspective.  I'd would venture to then say that Arizona would be ranked between #13 and #15 then.

I heard several times Nebraska is the only undefeated team in the Big Ten and thought, "But they struggled against McNeese State." LOL

lol.  Well as we speak Mich st. is putting the kibosh on Nebraska's running attack thusfar early-on.  Abdullah so far is a non-factor.  Though i'm not sure if that's much of a surprise.

Some people who heard "Abdullah" and "Heisman" in the same sentence certainly would be surprised, but I'm not.

Quote:i agree with you. rivalries are fun and usually good matchups. but these matchups this week were big time and can really wind up shaping the playoff picture.

This is my thinking too.  Four of the top 6 have lost this week, the door is wide open for teams to make the leap into the playoff picture.

College football is wonderful, add playoff baseball and I love this time of year.

OMG how did they get that thing out of the stadium? LOL

That must be a first in college football history. Ole Miss should investigate the security guards who let fans do this.

It comes in pieces as you can see.

Iowa did it, in Minnesota's stadium, back in 2002 or 2003.  Tore the post down, paraded it around the inside of the stadium and I think they ended up with it outside too.

Do you think a handful of security guards are going to try to stop that mob from taking it? It could end up being very dangerous for the guards if they did try to stop anyone, and I doubt any guard will get into any trouble for not doing anything.

I mean how did security guards let them do it? Aren't there people with the power to arrest burglars in the stadium?

Look at that police car in the picture. You don't think people could have been arrested for robbery?

Are you going to arrest all 200+ of them?  There isn't a darn thing they can do about them taking that goalpost out of the stadium without making it all much worse.  The security guards are going to do what exactly?  They're lucky if they get to carry a flashlight with them.  All they're going to do is get out of the way of that crowd, as they should.  If they don't they're going to get hurt.

One or two people...yes. How do you control 200 people?

Actually if there had been security guards at the goalpost before people tried to take it down, they could prevent 200 people from jumping on it.

You've been to games.  I know you have.  Have you seen the security guards?  They are not stopping a few hundred rampant, drunk, hyped up college kids.  That'd be like asking them to set their own death sentence.

Yeah, two people is doable.

MSU's defense is smothering anything that Nebraska is trying to do on offense.
