IMO, Bradley is in over his head

Gotta vouch for hb1148. He's usually one of the more level headed, rational posters here.

Quote:I agree Caldwell is making the right moves. However, I do expect us to be competitive when on the field. We haven't been.

We haven't been in spots, I agree.  In the second half of last year we had competitive games.  I think we'll be more competitive as the season goes along this year.  We don't have a large sample size with this front office.

I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

"Usually" is the operative word.  ;-)

Quote:I agree.  Our bar as Jags fans is not set incredibly high.  Mediocrity seems to be unachievable.  I'm not even looking for that.  What I'm looking for is to be a bad team.  Currently, we are a historically bad team.  Improving to be just plain bad would be a step in the right direction.

Except according to you, 'winning' is necessary for there to be improvement.  I just can't agree that winning is necessary for there to be improvement.  If we can stay within a touchdown of most teams, then that'll be a step in the right direction to me.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Eventually winning will be the only way to see improvement. We can't always just hope to compete in every game. We do need to start winning games or clearly what we are doing isn't working. We are not there yet but if we go 2-14 this year, somethings most likely not working.

Eventually.  But people want us to run when we can't crawl.

Winning should be the ONLY goal.  This getting better stuff is all well and good, but if the goal isn't to win a game, we might as well be playing soccer.  We can look at it as a step in the right direction if we are competitive, but we should not freaking celebrate that we lost by only 8.  It's improvement, but until we win a game, any game, it's not a success.

Yep, well said.  The winning, hopefully will become a component of the equation eventually but gonna be some growing pains along the way.

I actually am fine with it in that much of a small dose.

But by the end of the world cup, I'm good for no more soccer for 4 years.

The MLS or whatever is teeth pulling horrible.

Even then, do people really give a flying <insert expletive here> about soccer, or are we just 'Murica Chest Thumpin'?

Quote:Jeff is leaving, he's going back to the NCAA. And your right, let Blake do what he wants. he cant lose anymore games, and this season is totally lost since week 3. So why not let him call his own plays and lead this team We cant loose anymore and maybe just maybe we'll win one.

I'll call Khan here and let him know my decision.

Go My Kitty Cats ! :woot:
Brandt also said that Fisch is a tremendous coach, and a guy that is destined to be a head coach in the league at some point.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
