Same sex marriages

#21

Quote:We weren't put on this earth to "be happy".

We were put on this earth to marry. pro-create and raise families. Can same sex marriages pro-create? Nope. The only way same sex marriages can pro-create is by going outside the marriage.

Man has selfishly rearranged the rules to suit man.

Am I going to "live and let live"? Yep. If you want to get married to a person of the same sex, go ahead.

But me?....do I believe in "traditional marriage"? Yep. And those that do, theres nothing wrong with that. Despite what the agenda is trying to force.

Nothing wrong with believing in same sex marriage. That isn't what we are talking about.

What if we just kept procreating continuously with no end in site? How do you think that would end up? Eventually over population. Times change. 10% of the population is gay. Maybe that is helping with things like raising kids who don't have parents. Maybe it's nature's way of helping to control over population. Nothing is black and white.

There is always a positive and negative with everything. Unfortunately people like you have to fit things in what you think is a perfect world. Good and bad right? Black and white. But sometimes things aren't good or bad, they just are.

Quote:Lol now that's funny.

nah, actually its the canned typical liberal response, you know much like the "if you don't agree with homosexuality then you must be secretly gay" typical drivel.

I don't like brussel sprouts either.....that doesn't mean I must secretly somehow like them.

You're not married and haven't procreated, does that mean you are selfishly changing the rules to suit yourself?

That's why people who are sterile are banned from marriage and marriages that don't result in offspring are nullified by the state.

Seems there is a double standard though. Its become almost hip for the liberals to bash on/ bully "bible thumpers"/ Christians in this country/ and this political climate. particularly for their views on homosexuality.....however, there are certain faith's overseas who literally hate homosexuals and homosexuality is literally illegal per their belief system and they literally kill homosexuals. Yet not a peep from the liberals towards them. Why? Probably because as said, the typical liberal is a bully and they are afraid to take on someone they fear.

Oh, TMD... are you so oblivious that you fail to see that you are the one that is actually pushing an agenda here?

Scarecrow same problem trouble quoting my phone but I think you misunderstood me, I'm not against same sex marriage. I just simply think there's a right way and a wrong way to fix our current problem.

But we should probably be thankful that he hasn't.

Wow, this got ugly. Its not like TMD is espousing some off the wall concept, what he's saying is still the majority opinion in this country. Just because we are permitting a minority belief to become a cultural norm does not mean that we have to accept it as moral, especially when it directly contradicts a long standing religious norm. We tolerate in the real sense of the word, ie we permit you to make your own choice without endorsing it as proper or moral. The attacks on him show why we often DON'T tolerate such things; not only do you want to do it, you expect us to not only permit, but to approve in spite of our own beliefs that it's wrong and you pull out the ad homs when you dont get your way.

I'm not sure what you think you are saying. Is it that letting gay people get married will upset the delicate sensibilities of the religious right? Because again, I'm not sure what the church has to do with it. You can go down to the court house and get married. Literally no one is advocating laws that force church to marry gay people. I don't think there has ever been legislation forcing church to do anything ever, so I'm not sure where that concern stems from.

What he's saying is that not only are you requiring he thinks same sex marriage should be allowed, but also that he thinks there is nothing wrong with it.

Well...

...the law did force that baker who was in opposition to gay marriage to make a wedding cake for a gay couple.

IMO, the private business reserved the right to not serve those customers if they didn't want to. Yet they were forced to.

Not only that, but it was said that the gay couple targeted that specific place intentionally, knowing their religious beliefs, with the idea about taking them to court and forcing them to do so, premeditated. Thats seedy.

Thats how they roll.... you know, the "purveyors of tolerance".

In reality they aren't tolerant at all. Less tolerant than the people they accuse of being "intolerant"...lol. They are only "tolerant" if you agree to 100% of their entire agenda - all while you're kissing their feet as well.

IMO, that actually works against what they are allegedly trying to accomplish at least with me. I used to be much more empathetic towards their cause of seeking equality when it seemed thats all they were aiming for. I don't get that vibe anymore. With their all out bullying assault on Christians and people that may not agree with them driven by the liberal media (except for Muslims who also disapprove of homosexuals, but they are scared of Muslims so they'll act as if that 800 lb gorilla isn't in the room) , all it seems they really wish to do is "dominate" this culture and force people to not only give them the equality they initially were seeking, but also now to have their belief system as well - and like it. Well, it don't work that way. If you want equality, fine, I'm for that but don't you dare force people to approve of your lifestyle, or endoctrinate the children with this crap in schools at early ages. It has no place there. The idea is that 2 consenting ADULTS can do whatever they wish, sexually. The libs are force feeding their agenda in schools at early ages intentionally. Its underhanded.

Just as you think homosexuality isn't moral, we think that treating gays as different or bad isn't moral.

Yeah...you sound very tolerant yourself.

You want people to be more tolerant of people with religious beliefs? How about those people stop trying to get everyone else to live by those beliefs. You seem to have no problem trying to force your beliefs on people and expect everyone to accept it and like it...you know, the same thing you are accusing the "other" side of doing.

I can only imagine what would be said if a law were passed similar to ones in the middle east based on religion.
