Week 8 Games Of Interest

#1

Saturday, October 18th

12:00 PMNo. 14 Kansas State at No. 11 Oklahoma

3:30 PMNo. 21 Texas A&M at No. 7 Alabama

Yet another big SEC West match up. Bama needs this one to stay in potential playoff contention.

4:00 PMNo. 10 Georgia at Arkansas

Arkansas playing ell right now, as is Georgia. Good east-west match up.

4:00 PMNo. 15 Oklahoma State at No. 12 TCU

7:00 PM Missouri at Florida

8:00 PMNo. 5 Notre Dame at No. 2 Florida State

Big game for both when it comes to the playoffs. Personally I think ND is waaaaaaaay over ranked. They are an average team. FSU should beat the brakes off of them at home.

10:30 PMNo. 23 Stanford at No. 17 Arizona State

Talking down our opponent...

One of Notre Dame's six wins was against Michigan, home of a lame duck coach. People want to make a big deal about the fact they are undefeated without looking at the quality of their opponents.

College Game Day will be in Tallahassee. I think Brent Musberger and Jesse Palmer will cover the game. It is like everybody thinks Notre Dame is great because of the 6-0 record.

No. It's the truth. They're not very good. I do see though why the mighty domers chose to use the ACC part time though.

Big question, I think most of us can agree that ND is overrated, being Notre Dame helps them always be ranked if they tske out easy competition, but, since Miss State is off this weekend, would a victory for FSU over ND put them back at #1? Personally, after barley scrapping by UNC, ND proves they aren't legit top 10 team, but the "experts" always disagree

Good question. I'd lean yes to FSU back to 1

FSU will win by 35 against one of the worst ranked teams in the nation. ND is horrible. Even as bad as I know they are how could they be in a nail bitter with a North Carlina team that has allowed 70,50 and 50 in the last 3 weeks? Winston will have 400 yards passing till they take him out in the 3rd quarter.

ND has to join some kind of a conference.

But but but.. Lou Holtz said that Notre Dame is back to power house form and he doesn't have FSU ranked in his top 10..

But what if both FSU and Ole Miss win? If that happens, I would make Ole Miss #1 because the Rebels have a tougher opponent.

Just stop lady. If you think Tennessee is a tougher opponent than Notre Dame, I'll take whatever you're smoking.

Mainly said that in jest. Yes, they aren't as good as their ranking, though I don't feel comfortable saying FSU is going to kill anyone.

As a fan, I can see that, I would feel uncomfortable saying that too.

NDs only real game (vs Stanford) fit their style -- NO SPEED.

I'm hoping FSUs speed results in a 20 point win like Bama vs ND in the championship game.

FSU needs to tackle well in this game !!!  They were able to get away with lapses in the NC State game but they need to tighten it up for this game.

Jameis' biggest opponent is off the field.

The FSU offense is starting to get rolling. The defense is the big concern. So many young players and a lack of a pass rush.

The offense hasn't sputtered a whole lot, minus the Clemson game.

Wasn't very good to start the NC State game either. But they've score 120 points in the last ten quarters. Dalvin Cook looks like a star.

Pender and Cook are going to be a nice 1-2 punch.
