I told you all that there would be plenty of comic relief until his eventual banning. Bradley is so deep in jersey shores head he cannot stop bringing him up. Lol, people see this differently.  I get your point, but I think this was calculated.  He was celebrating with his team so that they knew what winning felt like. It was a weight off all of their shoulders....there is nothing wrong celebrating that.

 

I'm not saying Bradley and his philosophy will work in the long run, but you are nit picking.  You are talking about coaching deficiencies (as you see it) off the field instead of on the field.

It would be nice to see Gus act like THAT after any one of the six losses. Hell, Gus was all nicey nice and positive after the 5th and 6th losses while we were still winless - here in YEAR TWO. 

 

Bill O Brien on the other hand, is merely 3-4 now - in his ROOKIE year - (which isn't that bad) and yet thats clearly not acceptable to him. 

 

THATS what you'd like to see from your head coach. 

 

Its a safe bet that O Brien will go on to have more success than Bradley. O Brien gets it. He looks the Belichick/ Parcells/ Harbaugh part. Bradley is too much like Wade Phillips and is too accepting of all the losing. He seems to just want to be the players friend rather than leader.

I am not impressed with blowing up in press conferences. I even prefer the canned we will watch film and get better approach with media. I am betting that both Gus & BOB get on their club plenty in locker room and meetings!

O Brien isn't going to sit back and let the losses pile up. He's only 3-4 in his rookie year (which really isn't all that bad) and that presser shows he's not going to stand for it and sit back while it continues. 

 

Bradley was 0-5/ 0-6 in his SECOND year, and still hasn't acted out as if the losing is all that big of a deal. 

 

Bradley is too much like Wade Phillips and "aw shucks" welp, we'll try harder next time and get better".....

 

 

IMO, the NFL head coaches that get the most success are the type A personalities like O Brien, Parcells, Jimmy Johnson, Bill Belichick, and the like. 

 

You accept losing and you'll continue to not have success.

Look folks, this thread is started by a person who thinks a mans name has some bearing on their capacity to be successful in the NFL. His life evolves around this MB and the responses his threads bring. He cannot truly believe the garbage he posts, otherwise Darwinism would have weeded him out by now. I watched the video. I'm not crticizing OBrien or anything, but i personally just don't think there is anything special about that press conference.

 

You could just tell by O'Brien's tone that commiting all those turnovers and losing the game the way they did, with the Steelers scoring 24 points in mere minutes before the 1st half ended was completely unacceptable and he let the media (and fans who were watching) know it.

 

I liked what I saw from him.

 

A HC doesn't have to go on any kind of rant to get his point across, that the teams play was unacceptable.

Yes its only a press conference, but it shows just how much O Brien detests and won't accept losing. Its only 3 losses in a row and his record is still at a respectable 3-4 and he's essentially drawing the line. He doesn't want his players falling into an abyss where losing is seen as tolerable.

You know what types of coaches I hate? Those ones that think committing turnovers and allowing your opponent to score 24 points in three minutes is acceptable. Those guys drive me nuts.

Well whoever you think they are, a coach like O'Brien will get the best out of them with an attitude like that.

 

Remember, they were 2-14 last year and are already ahead of that, with a rookie head coach.

 

They are only a play or 2 away from being 4-3 or maybe 5-2.

 

And that's with #1 pick Clowney missing the last few games and a true journeyman QB.

 

If they do find a QB, they will be a threat to win the division
