Bill O Brien's post-game presser keeps it REAL after a loss, compared to Gus Badly's "positive" [BAD ...

Quote:I disagree with TMD a lot, but to try and make fun of his place of employment (if it's even true, which he says it's not) is out of line.  It doesn't matter if he's a fry cook, a janitor, or a doctor.  That's an unnecessary personal attack.  There's nothing wrong with someone who is a fry cook in the first place.  Or any other job for that matter.

I get Achilles asking him where he works, especially since TMD asked him first.  But others are just attacking him with little to no basis because they disagree with his opinion.  Surely you can find a way to refute his arguments without resorting to demeaning people.

I think he's set the bar low for Bill O'Brien. While he expects the impossible out of Gus Bradley with a team that's inexperienced.  But whatever his job is (or isn't) has nothing to do with that.
I really don't think he, or anyone else, takes this board seriously.  It's all just for fun.

I hope.

Do the players watch the post game pressers?

Obviously post game pressers are how we should evaluate a head coach. Also, Belichick is one of the most emotionless coaches I've ever seen. To say Bradley or any coach is fine with losing is rediculous, who knows how he reacts when he's not sitting in front a crowd of reporters.

Also, who's surprised by the Texans record? They had a playoff caliber roster before O'brien came on board. It's the same core of players that got them to 12-4 two years ago. The only position that was a major need when he came in was QB and he failed miserably by picking up Fitzpatrick.

How about we hold off on crowning O'brien until he at least gets a playoff win?

"If you want to crown him, crown him", but we will see if O'Brien is who we thought he was.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

You can't tell with some people.  I just see nothing to be ashamed of from any profession someone might have.  (FTR As I've said before, I'm a rental store manager.  Nothing fantastic, but it's a paycheck)

Exactly.  This is too easily discounted.  The Texans are a year removed from a 12-4 record.  I'd say Fitztragic is on the same level as Matt Slob.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

if you were just messing with my head, then why say you don't believe me after i answer you?

clearly just a cop out. now that we have determined that no one can get fired, it would be appropriate of you to let me know where you work or else i dont want to hear you whine when i make drive thru and frylator references.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

I thought you said 8-8 would be impressive for the Texans?

There's no way they're making the playoffs this year.  Zero chance.  Nada.

Let me get this right...

Bill O'brien had his team up 13-0 on the road with under 4 minutes to play, yet went into halftime down 24-13, and TMD is on here praising the guy??

I mean, I know TMD likes to push hopless agendas, but this is ridiculous.

So we still haven't determined where TMD works? Must be G14 classified. Or he works with Tommy.....

Was that a "Spies Like Us" reference, or perhaps "Rush Hour?"

But the way the podium was pounded. I would say that was Parcellsian, but it was more than that.

He was like a modern day Teddy Roosevelt mixed with Patton and Einstein. The perfect being.

Well, I think we learned a lot here.

We'd be sitting at the top of the division and cruising our way to the playoffs if Gus had just thrown juvenile temper tantrums at the post game pressers.

Because it's a well known fact that wins football games that otherwise would have been lost.

Seems legit.

Rush Hour. So glad someone got that.  I rarely reference Spies Like Us. No one here has seen it.  No one gets my obscure movie references at work..... Wallbash

Now if someone will ever tell me where Tommy works.....

He's banned again. Does that mean no TMD for the rest of the season?

Different strokes for different folks. I played for many different coaches throughout my day and have worked for quite a few others. Players respond to Bradley.

Another thing you have to consider is the level of experience of the roster. No need to berate, on a weekly basis, young players like that in the league. In the future, I can see it, for sure. But Bradley has to be himself, and not force something. Players know when it isn't passion. This team is responding. proof is on the field.

How do you find out when someone's banned?

Check their name by one of their posts.  It will be greyed out, and under the avatar (where yours and mine say Members) it says Banned.
