Anyone who is dumb enough to get banned is likely too dumb to stay away. It is ridiculously hard to get banned permanently, you have to be incredibly hard headed.

 

Yeah, that's what I've come to believe.  I've been warned exactly once, for posting a link to a Patriot fan's profanity-linked tirade.  That's a friendly warning from a mod, not a little bar beneath my name.  It's easy to stay within the CoC.

 

If I were banned, I'd be back the next day under a different IP address, posting in a similar fashion that will remain anonymous as my current name.

 

Not that anyone's ever done that, of course.

If you were ever banned from the board, would you come back afterward? A strange question maybe but one I've thought about over the past couple years with a certain poster getting banned again. And again. And again.


I don't know, call me crazy but if I ever got banned from this place, I'd have the decency to just go away and realize I'm not really wanted. For a guy who preaches about the downfall of society and lack of morals, I find it more than a tad ironic that he keeps coming back time and again after showing a complete lack of self-control and getting banned over and over.


Would you guys keep coming back after a ban or just display a little bit of dignity and go away quietly? I would do the latter. I'd be humiliated and embarrassed to keep coming back. I know of one poster who disagrees.

It's funny how it works here on the board...The poster I would guess you are referring to is always complained about, made fun of, and yet, when he gets banned, the board misses him...I have read many times during his absences how the board just isn't the same without him and the same people who called for his dismissal from the board say he should be allowed to come back...
