Teddy Countdown

He would probably be the third overall pick. Luck and Griffin still go 1 and 2. Rg3 looks like he finally got back his confidence and rhythm that he had last season. Wilson Is good, but so is his surrounding casts.

Great game by the top NFL QB prospect in the nation.

Some QBs in college for yards after the catch;

1) Mariota (34%)

2) McCarron (30.4%)

3) Sean Mannion (28.2%)

4) Derek Carr (24.6%)

5) David Fales (24.1%)

6) Tajh Boyd (21.8%)

Bridgewater is somewhere below this.

You want some YAC though.  A QB who can throw it to where the receiver can get YAC is exactly what you want.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Except for that Mariota's YAC yards comes from mostly screens.

Absolutely. But if you think that is what goes on in Oregon, you have never seen Oregon play. Or even the game on Saturday. Mariota made several bad passes that led to a lack of YAC. He even had a wide open pass down the seam where he completely missed the guy and the guy had to make a diving catch and was down at the 1 yard line.

Amazingly placed pass as the defender was collapsing on the receiver to the sideline.

And here is that great TD pass he made where he threw it right over the defender in front and inbetween the two safetys

Oh, I'm no fan of Mariota.  In fact I like him as a prospect less than a lot of people do.

I'm just saying you want some yards after the catch.  A more interesting stat would be yards after first contact.

Still wondering if you have seen Oregon play. Their receivers have been wide open for days for like 4 years now.

Can we just take Teddy now?

I've only seen them a little.  But again -- my argument is not in favor of Mariota.  It's in favor of YAC not being a bad thing.

No one is saying it's a bad thing. But it inflates stats.

And Oregon's YAC definitely is not a result of throwing wide receivers open. They are one of the heaviest swing/screen pass offenses in the country.

I'm curious. What do you guys consider more pitiful;

A) Someone who is a big fan of Bridgewater because he is the top QB prospect in the nation, and their favorite team is the Jaguars who have one of the worst QB situations in the NFL and will likely be in position to draft him.

Or

B ) Someone who hates on Bridgewater just because they like being different and go against the hype?

One of those is me, and the other is a lot of clowns on this forum.

The Giants finally won, so that leaves only us and the Bucs winless.

Who hates Bridgewater?

He's probably referring to me, though I've stated countless times that Bridgewater is my favorite QB and I'd be fine taking him #1.

Same here if we take a QB at 1 I want Teddy but I would rather Clowney in the 1st and McCarron in the 2nd.  He gets butt hurt sometimes when people don't think of Teddy the way he does.  Everyone don't have blow up Teddy dolls and Teddy pictures hanging over their bed.  I would be happy with Teddy or Clowney.  I haven't really heard maybe but one or two people that say they don't like Teddy.
