2015 NBA Playoffs Thread

#1

Couple of story lines during preseason heading into the season.

Olodipo and Frye are hurt will they start the regular season?

Couple of star players returning from injury Rose, Bryant, Horford.

Will James Hardin play defense?

Will Rondo be traded?

James and Love playing in Cleveland.

How will the Spurs repeat?

Is this the last possible chance for Durant and Westbrook to compete for a title.

Go heat.

The battle for the Sixers starting SG spot between Jason Richardson (if healthy), Alexey Shved, Elliott Williams, and Hollis Thompson is one of the bigger story lines imo.

We have the NBA package.  Watching the Magic/Heat game tonight as well as the Bulls/Pistons.

I'm excited to see the development of Vucevic and Harkless.   Payton looks so small out there.   He needs to hit the weight room.

I'd have to think that half of the Heat team are actually relieved that they can just play ball without looking to Lebron.  Perhaps we'll see Bosh hit the paint a little more. I was so sick of the offense that had him running to the corner (to clear out) on every possession.

Looking forward to seeing Lebron, Love, and Kyrie.  For anyone with the NBA package, the Cavs analyst, Austin Carr, is 2nd to none.

Pistons are a couple years away, but it will be fun watching Andre Drummond become one of the top 5 bigs in the NBA.

Hopefully Van-Gundy can keep Drummond and Monroe together during this short rebuild.

That would be key to watch.

Hopefully Noel's injury dosent drag into the Regular season.

Yeah OKC will have to move Ibaka to the 3 and move Perkins or Adams to the 4.

I'm ready.  Looking forward to watching Elfrid Payton tonight and see the continuing development of Vucevic.  Both ultimately acquired in the D. Howard trade.

Definitely a year or 2 away.  I think we'll get a little showtime though to keep us entertained.  they seem to be on the same path as the Jags right now.

Payton is good, going to be very good, but this is going to be a looong season as a Magic fan.

re:  Magic

Interesting compilation of players.  We have guards that like to play D and we have bigs (Gordon, Harris, Frye, O'Quinn) that like to pass and play around the perimeter.

We seriously need to make a trade and obtain someone that is physical in the paint.  If they are not going to do that they should just use their skills and run & gun and lose  by scores like 125-112 (a la the old Warriors & Suns).

At least the Magic had a better day then the Lakers (who lost by ~ 20 and also lost their 1st round pick to injury)

How awesome is Anthony Davis?  He's only 21 years old too.

26 points, 17 rebounds, 9 steals.
