Good to the first line. Malarkey to the second.

Quote:Should all medications that do not cure and only mask symptoms be banned or nah because they are not pot?

All other medications that mask symptoms that are legal are not gateway drugs.

Quote:Have you ever been through the trauma that is chemo-therapy?  There really is no "legal" prescription drug that will do for a patient what marijuana will do.

No.

But as a epileptic who was diagnosed as a child. I have had close to 50 "violent" seizures in my life, with the most recent coming a few months ago.

My seizures were at their most severe about 5-8 years ago. My neurologist put me through 3 different medications since I had outgrew my first prescription I had been on since I was a child.

He then put me on a "limited" trial of medical marijuana.

It didnt work for me being I began to suffer from abnormal heart rhythm and excessive tiredness. Being a guy who exercised and played sports regularly, I gained 7-13 pounds in about 4 months. That was counterproductive. He then put me on a medicine that has worked ever since and that was keppra.

I spoke with multiple people through Facebook and the local chapter of epilepsy group here who either prescribed, or tried marijuana to help with their condition and it did very little.

Isn't that literally what most painkillers do.

So would it have been okay if it had worked wonders for you?

Your argument is full of holes. There are a lot of medicines that treat but not cure. Insulin injections do not cure diabetes. Blood pressure medications lower blood pressure, they don't cure it. Arthritis is incurable, there are many medicines to deal with the pain.

No herbal medicines or therapy will control muscle spasms experienced by MS patients, the nausea caused by AIDS and chemotherapy.

Reading on this subject will cure your ignorance.  That is one thing marijuana won't help with.

You and some Facebook friends got no results. Well, that rules out all medicinal marijuana.

What strain or form of cannabis did he prescribe?

If it would have eliminated my epilepsy, yes.

But it didn't.

Eliminated or abated? You seem to be asking more of medical pot than you are of the other drugs you're taking.

Its both hilarious, and pathetic you think medical marijuana will help relieve pain and nausea for people who have MS, or HIV/AIDS.

MS is a degenerative diseases. Using medical marijuana will not improve that person's Vitamin D, or replenish their blood cells.

With HIV/AIDS the medical marijuana is not enough to offset the cocktails a person has to take daily. Diet and exercise is more important to living healthy with the disease.

Got some more stupid insults you want to throw around?

Did Keppra cure your epilepsy? If you stopped taking it would the seizures resume?

So now you mock what I mentioned when it came to discussions I had with the Epilepsy social community?

Your reading comprehension is pathetic.

Marijuana relieves the muscle spasms caused by MS.

Marijuana relieves the nausea caused by chemotherapy and AIDs medication.

There is no need to insult you. Every time you reply to my posts on this subject is a joke telling itself.

Isn't that the whole premise of why people wanted medical marijuana passed? To help cure or abait their ailments?

I will match scientific research on marijuana's many uses with your small sample of people with one condition.

It's a simple question. Did you cure the epilepsy when you started taking Keppra?

They use it to relieve symptoms. That's why people use thousands of other legal medications.
