Quote:No way. Now that the House and Senate are in control of the Republicans, Americans now have their country back and everything will be OK.

No it won't. That means the standoff with Obama will only get worse the next two years. From 1994-1996, Bill Clinton vetoed bills that passed in both the Senate and House, so nothing got done.

Really feeling your oats today, huh? Go red team go!

I can't wait to see all the sweeping changes as we march for to future prosperity. Oh wait, Obama is still in the White House so you all have the perfect excuse to do absolutely nothing. #becausestalemate

Can you define "little guy/gal" for us?

This is not new news. It's just being served to us by a different party. When people begin to realize the government is no longer "for the people" and decide to act on it is when 'we the people' will truly be heard. Until then it will be business as usual in DC.

Do your homework. The interests of the little guy/gal have made it a career not to work for the past few years. It has been paid for on the shoulders of the middle class, working American. They finally said enough is enough.

Zero of the interests of a majority of Americans were met for the past half decade, and those Americans spoke loud and clear yesterday.

Voting in another color of corrupt... But hey you get to pat yourself on the back for I guess your team winning or something? Nobody wins here. Regardless of who is in control. I don't get the celebration. I mean I do from you but not from reasonable people.

No it is not. I don't think it's unreasonable to say it though. People not talking about does nothing.

If you've read any of my other posts today you'll note that I've said pretty much what you have. I just enjoy tweaking the Dems when they're down.

I am actually not celebrating. It's a work night for me. I have hopes of keeping more of that money I will work for, and not have it ripped from my wallet to give to the cause of the month. If that's celebrating, your idea of reasonable is about par for a liberal.

I didn't expect much different to be honest.

I'm not a liberal. Your inability to not stereotype doesn't shock me in the least.

That's fine. All I said was it was a different color of the corrupt and that they don't have most of america's interests in mind. They are no different than the dems.

Very true especially for this group that was just elected. Essentially the only positive I'm seeing is they will at least stop Obama, who i find incridibily dangerous on all fronts.

But make no mistake that's the only reason the GOP is in power right now because priority one is to stop the bleeding.

They can't stop him, he is the issuer of executive orders and gatekeeper of legislation. They can try reconciliation, but we all know they don't have the balls to play the Democrat's game.  He'll do what he wants, they'll curl up in the fetal position and cry, and we'll get new amnesty and to keep OblahmaCare and nothing will change. The the LIVs will be out in 2016 and the message will be, "See? You gave the Republicans power and they couldn't do anything with it, so vote Democrat! We get things done (even if those things are destroying the country)." Then it's 2010 all over again, HIllary, a D Senate and an R House. YAY!

I would like this to be true, but my personal history shows it to be false.

You will not be 1 cent richer either way- check your pay stubs.

And the "Cause of the Month?"  Magically there will be another gulf war- or another Nicaragua.  Stay tuned.

Based on the document dump the JD did on election day, I'd say he's expecting a rocky road ahead.

This is really interesting to me. My liberal friends out here speak the same way of their Dems. Rolling over, giving in etc... It's interesting how supporters of each side think so little of their parties ability to push forth agendas you support....

I'm curious what agenda's they are frustrated that have not been achieved? We almost have socialized medicine, give it about 4 years, the way it's set up the ACA will be a disastrous and people will be begging for a single payer system. It's actually a brilliant plan on the democrats side.

They've successfully blocked the Key Stone pipeline I know a few liberals that see the pipe line as a big deal.

Maybe not enough in the welfare expansion? But I find welfare to be a hit or miss issue, I know plenty of liberals that have problems with welfare. I'm curious what they are seeking that they feel hasn't been achieved or maybe not enough has been done?

I know on the right side, I can rattle off a list long enough to fill a book I'm upset about but I always that it was clear I'm on the losing side?
