That's not how I understood it. In fact he made sure to take ownership considering his criticism the past couple of weeks.

RG3 was misused by Shanny and son in his early days as a Redskin. He should have been developed as more of a pocket passer. He had the ability to do it, IMO, and likely wouldn't have tore his body apart doing it.

Injury, people trying to change his playing style, and now a new coach and offensive scheme that is designed for a pocket passer not a dual threat type.

Guy is fragile, no doubt about it.. but he is an intelligent individual and has a very unique combination of skills. Could you imagine a healthy RGIII in Chip Kelly's offense? That offense made Mark Sanchez look normal (at least for the first week he ran it).

This is what happens when you think you are close and you give up draft picks for a single player.  It train wrecks your franchise for three to five years.  We did the same thing when we thought we were a DE away from winning it all.

 

They do have a few more wins then us so they have that.

I really hope he gets a better chance in a new place. I doubt we see him as a redskin for much longer unless something crazy happens.

I think teams will be less likely to move up in the draft and give up a boatload of picks now.

 

There's more and more evidence to suggest trading up and giving up a lot of picks for 1 player is not the right way of building.

With Henne, there was just nothing the Jags could do but take it, and boy did they ever take it, game after game after game.

 

Anything more than a TD lead was insurmountable, and that's even with Scobee being pretty reliable from 50yds out, but we can't even count on that anymore.

 

The fact that Henne actually beat the Texans twice last season just goes to show how absolutely disfunctional the Texans were at the time, and how a losing streak really plays into the mind of a team.

 

I consider it a small miracle that the Jags actually won 3 of 4 games in one stretch last season and 4 overall. I'm still not even sure how they did it with Henne as QB.

They drafted #2 because of the RG3 trade and where Washington finished the 2013 season, which was 3-13, 1 game worse then the Jags.

Agree on all points.

 

He came to the league with rare talent, particularly at his position.  Since then, I believe he's been physically and mentally broken by the way he was mishandled.

Still, the point stands, the only reason the Jaguars won those 3 games last season was because they fell at the right time of the season for those teams to be completely uninspired.
